Newman's Own Organic Tea & Cookies Sponsor Spotlight Review

Newman's Own Organic Black Tea is awesome! I love a good black tea to make as iced tea. Nell, Paul Newman's daughter, found Harris Tea Company which has been making tea for 67 years, to help in making their great tea. If you like tea in the morning instead of coffee, you will love this black organic tea. I drink tea all day long so when I say this is a great black tea that is saying alot. I like the fact that it is organic and that the quality is good. They also make a green tea and I can't wait to try it sometime. For those of you who have big families, they make the family size tea bags in the black tea.
We love the Newman O's  and I don't know which flavors will be in your package other than it will be cookies and the tea. And then they might surprise me and you and send you one of each flavor. So, with that in mind, I thought I would touch briefly on a few of them for you so that you sorta know what they are. I am thinking though as many times as I have seen Newman's Own on other blogger's sites, I bet we all really have had a taste or two so it's no great mystery!
I loved the Ginger O's the best. They reminded me of gingerbread cookies with a white filling. All the Newman O's are similar to Oreo's but they are slightly smaller and the taste is very different. The Original O's are chocolate with a white filling. The Peanut Butter O's is chocolate cookies filled with peanut butter. Almost tastes like a Reese's Cup! My husband loved the Peanut Butter O's the best while I stuck with the Ginger O's. Doesn't matter which one you like, they are all good. Besides the ones we tried, they also come in Hint O'Mint. I would have loved those also. I love mint & chocolate flavored cookies. But I wanted to try something that I would not ordinarily try so I bypassed them this time.
Do you remember growing up and eating the alphabet cookies? I sure do. Or the animal crackers that came in that little zoo bus like container? Well, mix those together and you have Newman's Own Organics ABC Cookies in Vanilla, Chocolate and Cinnamon. They are small but pack a powerful punch of flavor into each bite! I really could not pick a favorite because they were all so good so I will leave that decision up to you if you can. Your kids will love them and so will you because they are less calories and fat than the bigger sized cookies or snacks. Serve them will juice or milk to complete a rounded out snack that you can feel good about.
This is what Nell has been quoted as saying about the Fig Newton Cookies:
Nell wanted to do a fig cookie for a long time. "Mom loves figs, so I grew up eating and enjoying them, and Dad was always a big Fig Newton fan," says Nell. "When we were doing research on figs we found there were a number of organic fig growers in California; we are delighted to be able to support these growers with our product."

All I can tell you is that if you love figs, these are gonna rock your boat! I love a good soft dough around my figs and Newman's Own Organic's delivers on that. I don't know why I love them now because when I was younger I couldn't stand the things but they have grown on me now and I love eating them from time to time.  Of course, it's not like a chocolate chip cookie that you could eat every day, I like them at certain times and then when I am done, I am done. But gosh, while I am eating them and in the right mood, there is nothing better, not even a chocolate chip cookie!
I also wanted to give you just a tidbit of information on how they became what they are today:
Newman’s Own Organics was established as a division of Newman’s Own in 1993, and became a separate company in late 2001. Paul Newman has given over $200 million to thousands of charities worldwide since 1982
Newman's Own Organics has been so kind as to give the winner of the Holly Jolly Jubilee 2012 a sampler set of their cookies and a box of their awesome Black Tea! Because I don't know which cookies you will get, I sorta just touched on a few here and there. It really doesn't matter which ones they are because they are all so very good! You will love them no matter what they are! Open to the U.S. only!

Mary Bearden personally reviewed these products. I did not receive any monetary compensation for my review, just a sample product. All opinions are mine and belong to me solely. My thoughts and opinions may differ from yours. All photo's were taken by Mary Bearden and her cranky camera!

I'm not a tea drinker, but think that their cookie products are such a wonderful alternative to those who can't have the dairy or wheat. For those people, it's hard for them to find foods that they can eat, let alone product that are actually a great snack and taste good too!
