Lugz Tambora Boot Review & Giveaway **Closed**

Last time, Mike got a pair of their tennis shoes and I was gonna let him have them this time also but he didn't see anything that he really needed so he told me to select something. I chose these Tambora boots in a black/cream color. Now, I know that these are not everyday wear boots, for me anyway, they are gonna be my garden boots. They look really sturdy and feel sturdy plus it has that really thick lining.  I am hoping on the off chance that I run into a rattler or copperhead that these will help protect me more than the clogs I have been wearing!

And yes, we do have both of those up here in the mountains of North Georgia along with the water moccasin around our lakes and rivers.  We actually have had several boaters/skiers killed by them in the water so I don't have anything to do with the lake! Poor boy was skiing and he let go of the rope and when he did, he skied right into a nest of them near the bank.  It gives me the crawlies just thinking about it.   I have seen baby snakes but no mama's or papa's so that is a good thing.  I do have my trusty old black King snake and I leave him be because he kills the poisonous snakes. Never, ever kill a King snake. They are harmless and run from you so believe me, he doesn't want no part of you either!

But anyway, I figured these would be better than clogs just in case because this past year I have heard that the snakes have gotten alot bigger and alot more of them, so I guess I need to be better prepared. I think that must be why I had the good fortune to be asked to review another pair for the holidays. I can just about have enough room in there to put a pair of really thick socks on too! Course, if they hit higher than that, I guess my goose is cooked!

Lugz has so many kinds of shoes to pick from that it would take me forever to look thru them so it's a good thing that they send a list to go by, for me anyway. Mike is still loving his white tennis shoes that he got the last time and I have only worn these around the house to break them in. When these got here, we had a cold snap go thru so it's been a little too chilly for me to go out. But, that is actually a good thing, because it means the snakes have gone into hibernation until spring! These boots also come in brown/cream and charcoal/cream.

Here are some details about my Tambora boots:

  • Perma Hide upper
  • Suede shaft
  • Soft acrylic fur lining
  • Cushioned insole
  • Padded tongue
  • Rubber toe cap and heel
  • Adjustable fold-down collar

  • I am hoping if there is ever a next time again, that I can get something to keep my feet warm inside the house, like those moccasin like boots. They look really cozy! Of course, that leaves my hands to freeze! I can't take the summer heat and then the winter comes and I used to love it but even that has turned on me now. Like right now my little fingers are bone cold. I am gonna have to stop after this one and take a break and get them warm again.

Lugz carries all sorts of shoes for women, men and children.  They have an excellent selection of work boots/shoes and I know this because hubby has to wear steel toed shoes while working although he isn't around much stuff that would fall on him, but it is a requirement and so he notices those right off the bat wherever we go. He is constantly on the lookout for a good wearing work shoe/boot. The ones he has hurts his feet constantly. He has tried several brands and sizes and none work for long.

I wonder sometimes if he has an issue with his feet and maybe that is the problem, not the shoe. But, then again, Lugz tennis shoes fit him wonderfully he says. So, sooner or later, we will really have to take a look at the work line but we hate ordering those thru the computer because he has to try them on first and alot of them that we thought looked good turned out not to be once he actually got them on in the stores.

They are having a great sale going on over at Lugz so you might want to check in and see if there is anything you need or your family with this great deal because shipping is free! Yes, it says it right there on the banner, Buy One Get One Half Off and Free Shipping! So, this might be the perfect time to get that last minute Christmas gift you have been waiting for.

In the fall of 2008 Lugz shot on to the Mixed Martial Arts scene signing its first two MMA fighters, Lyoto Machida and Houston Alexander as endorsers. Machida captured the title of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion as he represented Lugz. In 2010 Cain Velasquez became the newest endorser of Lugz.; immediately after signing, Cain fought to become UFC World Heavyweight Champion. In 2011, Lugz continued to grow its Team – signing UFC Welterweight Josh Koscheck and UFC Light Heavyweight Phil Davis.

From its inception, Lugz footwear has been an innovator in the footwear market from its signature styles, to creating trendsetting styles beyond boots and has added casual shoes and athletics to the mix for the Lugz men, Lugz women and Lugz kids lines.

but I really do need some new boots like the Tambora. I'ts been almost 25 years since I had a new pair of winter boots. Crazy but my old ones are still "kickin'", just out of date.

    Thanks so much!
