I know this is a hard time of the year with all the holidays coming and some have lost their jobs, others are sick (like me and on disability) and others just don't make enough money to make it. So, whenever possible, I try to get the Gift Certificates or Gift Codes because then I know you will get WHAT YOU NEED, not what I need or like. So, on that note, have a ball whoever wins this and go to town on some of this seriously good candy and snacks!
I did not want to cop out and copy the same review so I am showing you some of their products instead to get you good and ready to do some major damage when you shop. Those dips are truly awesome, so go read that review and it might help you decide what to buy.
So, I feel really good about bringing you this Gift Certificate for this company because they do care about what goes on with those of us who have health issues. As everyone knows, I have several stomach and bladder issues along with other ailments and that I don't get to eat much of anything, so you know that I take these things seriously and when I find an exceptional company, I like to share them with you, my readers. And Hammond's Candie's is such a company!
I also wanted to let you know that they are having a sale right now on several items and the one above, English Toffee, which is another one of my weakness's (really bad, worse than chocolate) is one of the items that if you Buy 3 Bags You Get 2 FREE! The other 3 that they have with the same deal is Butter Toffee, Salted Peanuts and Peanut Brittle. So, go check them out by clicking on the above image and it will take you right there! Happy Shopping!
Now, here is my very favorite candy next to chocolate, The Caramel! This one is the Chewy Vanilla Caramel and they also have Marshmallow Caramels, Milk Chocolate Caramels, Chewy Chocolate Caramels and Dark Chocolate Covered Caramels.
They also come in several different sizes and containers. But this is the one that really caught my eye: Vanilla Mitchell Sweets! (right side) Mitchell Sweets are handmade Marshmallow covered in Vanilla caramel. Sounds like heaven, right?
Okay, I am done with the pictures because I think you have gotten the gist of what all they have. I will tell you that they have much more than I can possibly list here but they do carry other Holiday Candies so Halloween is not the only one and I can't wait to see what they have for Christmas!
Here's a little bit about how they became Hammond's Candies:
On his first day of high school, a young man named Carl Hammond returned home and announced that he didn’t need any more education. “Fine,” his mother replied, “but you’re not going to lie around the house. Go get a job.”
And that’s just what Carl Hammond did; he got a job…as an apprentice in a candy factory. In 1920, after several years of learning the candy business, Carl T. Hammond, Sr. founded Hammond’s Candy Company in Denver. He was inspired to become an entrepreneur after creating his first original candy, Honey Ko Kos, chocolates topped with shredded coconut.
In his first few years in business, Carl did it all: He developed the recipes, made the candy, sold the candy, and was his own office staff. Eventually, he hired someone to manage the store while traveled the West, selling his candy to other stores.I only told you a little bit so please, go and read the rest of the story! I love reading how people took on adversity or dire circumstances or just sheer willpower and are able to make something that they truly love.
