Dream Essentials Snooz Silky Soft Sleep Mask Review & Giveaway **Closed**

I have to be honest and say I have never tried a Sleep Mask before and was curious as to how anyone could sleep knowing something was tied around their head so I decided I would never know if I didn't try it, so here I am reviewing the Snooz Silky Soft Sleep Mask in the Black color. It also came with a pair of ear plugs, another thing that I don't know if I could sleep with.

I am trying all kinds of new things here lately! Have you tried to use a Sleep Mask before? Here is the weirdest thing, back when I was working and I did work a night shift at one point in my life in my late twenties. I would get home around 8 in the morning and it did not matter what I did, I could not sleep.

I tried going to sleep immediately when I got home, I tried waiting until 12 noon and go and I tried waiting as long as possible and still could not sleep. I even tried waiting until 6 in the evening to get at least 3 or 4 hours before having to go and still could not sleep! It was the most maddening thing I think I have ever done.

I finally was able to transfer back to the day shift because an opening became available and I never again went back to working at night! I did work a 4 to 12 shift for many years but never that midnight to 8 shift. I don't know how anyone does it, I really don't. Well, I take that back, now I do. See, that is the weirdest thing that I was talking about.

Now, I can stay up all night working on my blog and reading books and then sleep all day! Isn't that the most craziest thing? But when I needed to do it for my job and to make that extra premimum, I couldn't do it to save my life. I even got black blankets and made the room as dark as possible and still could not sleep. I would turn the fan on as high as it would go to block out noise, to no avail.

Now, I can sleep thru anything just about. I don't hear the phone ring, cars going by or even people pulling into my driveaway. But I certainly do hear Charlie barking up a storm. He is my alarm clock now! I think it has to do with all the meds I take now. So many of them to relax the muscles for the Fibromyalgia and other illnesses that I have so I guess maybe if I had those back then I could have slept. Who knows?

Here is the reason that the Snooz is just a little bit different than most masks:
The Snooz™ is no ordinary airline style mask. Now featuring the Comfort Bridge™ for superior light blocking effectiveness around your nose area as well as cushioning your eyes without pressure.
It comes in black, pink, white, blue and purple. I would have liked a pink or purple. Those are my colors and you know that because my blog has those colors everywhere!

Anyway, I have worn earplugs in the past because of the loud machines I used to have to work around back in my 20's and they always gave me earaches. They just aren't natural. And I really never could tell much difference with them in or out. The fan works the best for me, anyway.

I did give the Sleep Mask to my best friend Lynette because her mom has dementia and she keeps her up at all hours of the night and day. She is just about exhausted. I sure do wish her 2 brothers would come more often and give her a break. I am not much good to her with my strange sleeping hours either. Plus, I don't know if she would mind me because she forgets who I am.

Finally,  Lynette got some relief and for about a week she had some time to herself and she used the Sleep Mask and the earplugs. She said she was gonna sleep as much as possible and that she did not care what time it was. When she got sleepy she was just gonna go for it. I told her she better. She was so exhausted we don't know if the mask worked the first 2 days but after that when she needed to lay down in the afternoon for a nap, she said then she could tell that it helped ease her into a good deep sleep.

So, for that, I am very grateful that I could help her get some extra sleep. They recommend that you hand wash the masks and just let them dry flat on their own. It looked like it might be a material that might shrink up so I wasn't going to put in the washer and dryer anyway. Since it helped Lynette, I just told her to keep it. She really needs it more than I do anyway.

They have all kinds of sleep masks! I would have thought one did the job but there are all kinds like this one above is a Dream Essence™ Sleep Mask that has an herbal sachet to help you go to sleep! It has Lavender and Chamomile in it so I can see why that would work. I try to drink Chamomile tea at night or really anytime I feel like winding down. You can never go wrong with either one of those scents because they are both suppose to make you feel relaxed and at ease.

They also sell Body Pillows and all kinds of things for Dry Eyes, which I have, but so far it doesn't seem to affect me too much. I actually did not even know that I had it until a few years ago an eye doctor tried to tell me that and said I needed plugs put in to help me develop tears and like a dummy I let him and have never been in so much pain in my life!  I finally had to go to his main office and saw his partner and told them to take them out.  So, it's nice to see that someone is trying to use other natural ways to help people with Dry Eyes.

I noticed that they also have noise machines to help drown out the outside influences of noise so that you can sleep better. Now, that I can really agree on. It takes a little time to get use to a fan running but now I don't think anything of it. I can sleep with that on and not hear a thing outside of the room that I am in. So, I really believe in the noise reduction machines.
