1.) Chocolate Chip Cookies with Milk Chocolate
2.) White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies (Mike's favorite)
Even though these were a thicker cookie, they were still soft and moist, which I was afraid of when I first saw them. Usually, cookies that are that thick are hard and crunchy, but not these. Don't know what he does to make them like that, but it's a good formula, so I wouldn't change a thing!
When I say make cookies, I am talking about 5 or 6 kinds at about 5 or 6 dozen each. The other one I have to make is Gingerbread. But, that is a whole other story. Needless to say, if we can find a cookie other than my homemade ones, then that saves me from feeling guilty about not making them myself.
So, Thanks to Bart's Cookies, Mike got an early present for Christmas!
You can get white chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips. They will even mix the dark and milk chocolate chips up together. They make the Chocolate Chip Cookie, White Chocolate with Macadamia and Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate. Oh, they even make them in Gluten Free with all the same flavors! Now, no one has to suffer because no matter if you can eat gluten or not, Bart's Cookie's have got you covered.
Here is what I found out about Bart and how it started:
I've been makin' the word's best chocolate chip cookies you've ever tasted for more than 20 years! It all started when I was in college, living far away from home and mom's cooking.I was really surprised to find out that he really was a computer operator and software person who can design and get you started on your business with computers and he writes books and goes around on speaking tours and even has a radio show! Wow! I wish I had all that energy.
This is how my story begins ...
I made my first batch of chocolate chip cookies for dinner (at college) in 1988 ...
One afternoon I said to myself, "Bart, you don't live at home any more." Translated, that meant that I could have anything I wanted for dinner! You're on your own now, and mamma ain't around to tell you what you can or cannot eat!" So, I thought, "Why not make CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES for DINNER! YEAHHHH!!!"So, I drove to the local grocery store, bought all the ingredients, returned home, made 'em, ate 'em and called my mom to boast, "Mom, I just had to call to say how much I love you and that I 'spoiled my appetite!' Yep, I made cookies for dinner!" Well, she laughed, said how much she missed me, and I went on eating my cookies ... for dinner!!
Well, I take that back, I did before 2003 and when July of that year hit, all hell broke loose, and I have never been the same. Oh, well, I guess it happens sooner or later to most folks, I just had the bad luck to still be young and that's the way the cookie crumbles!
Seriously, though, his cookies really are awesome and I don't know where he finds the time but he does. You will be as amazed as I was when you try them the first time. Oh, and go read the rest of his story. I only gave you a stipend. The rest is really quite an adventure!
Bart's Cookie's has been kind enough to offer one winner a dozen of their choice of cookie. Another interesting thing that he has asked me to do is offer 5 winners 50% off of a dozen cookies and then another 25 of you 25% off of a dozen.
Since I have never done anything like this before and don't want to keep drawing names of people only to hear they can't right now (mostly the 25 at 25% off), I would like for the ones who don't win the free cookies and the 5 who get 50% off, email me and let me know if you would like the 25% off so that I am not constantly drawing names of people who won't use the special offer.
That way, the ones who really do want to try the cookies, will get their chance to do just that! Good Luck and open to the U.S. only.
