But what I got sent to try was their Shampoo and Conditioner that basically says Without! Which means it does not have any harmful ingredients or chemicals. They consider their products non toxic and I have to admit that their products are different than what I normally use. I do have to tell you that without all the stuff that is added to the shampoo, it comes out almost like water. I made the mistake of twisting off the cap instead of pushing in one side (I have a hard time with those, they hurt my fingers, you know that ole ugly Fibromyalgia!) and when I did that, I accidentally poured out quite a bit of shampoo!
I caught a good bit of it and hurried to get it in my hair before I lost more while cupping my hand to get it all before more fell. It lathered up really quick and good. I really could not even tell that it has much of any kind of smell other than a clean woodsy like smell. By the time I was ready to rinse it all out, I had worked up a good lather so it took some minutes to make sure it was all gone.
I then applied their conditioner to my hair and again, almost the same but a little thicker than the shampoo so I did not lose any on this round. It also has really no distinct smell other than that woodsy clean smell. My hair come out looking fresh and new. It did the job that alot of other shampoos and conditioners have done in the past but without all the added toxins and chemicals.
So, all in all, they both were good at what they do and if you are an all green, natural kinda girl, then you will absolutely love both of these products. They are made from aloe vera juice so that explains why it is so good for your hair!
I found some info on how the company, Ava Anderson, became a company:
AVA’S STORY. Ava discovered at the age of 14, the issue of chemicals in personal care products and their hazardous health effects. The more Ava researched, the more concerned she became. She started a blog to talk about where to find safer products.
The market is flooded with “organic”, “natural”, “safe” and “pure”, yet there were almost always toxic ingredients included as well. After throwing out most of her products, her mothers’ and grandmothers’ too, she still had nothing “Ava Approved” to replace them with, or to recommend.
Ava had become truly disturbed at how consumers were unaware of the risks of common brands and how those who thought they were making safe choices often did not know what was really in the products they were purchasing. After months of research, Ava realized that she needed to create her own products. Through a family friend, she located a manufacturer with research facilities that could develop and produce products to her standards.
It was a great challenge to develop these revolutionary formulas, but with her vision and persistence she succeeded. Ava’s personal care company was launched in December 2009.
Connect with Ava Anderson several ways:The wonderul representative for this company, Marabella Spata, would like to give one winner her own set of shampoo and conditioner! Good in the U.S. only. Thanks Ava Anderson and Marabella!
