I have a great new glass company to tell you about called Just Eyewear and I was thrilled to be able to select a pair of glasses and have them made into sunglasses! I kinda went retro because for the last few years, I have been wearing the oversized glasses that the crowd in Hollywood wears. So, I was excited to switch it up some and get the glasses that they call Cat Eyes!
These are called the Love L748 Black Sun and I love them! It makes me feel 28 again! They feel lightweight and do not hurt my ears like some of the metal glasses do. I used to wear them but after so long would have to take them off, either they hurt my ears or my nose. I also have given up on the glasses with the nose guards because they leave deep creases on either side of my nose. I found out that the reason for that is the flexible spring hinges to make your glasses fit comfortable.
I could have gotten regular glasses but I already have several pairs for driving and watching TV and then some for reading. Now, I have prescription sunglasses! My husband says I have enough glasses to open a small shop! He is kidding, though, I don't have that many.
I was really impressed that Just Eyewear sent me a great little screwdriver attached to a keychain clip in case I need to tighten the screws on the glasses while out and about. They also included a really nice soft black cloth to clean my glasses with so that I don't use the wrong kind of material and scratch my lenses. The case that it came in was also very nice, solid black and very shiny and elegant. You would never know that those glasses cost less than $50!! You will love the fact that their glasses are 87% less than retail!
Here is what the founder Marc McKenzie says about his company in the About Us section. (I only took a snippet so please go read the rest)!
A few years ago, I worked at one of the largest independent optical labs in the country (one of the places that doctors send your prescription to have the glasses made). I knew how much frames, including designer frames, cost. I also knew how much lenses cost. And guess what: it's not anywhere close to the $700 I was being quoted by the saleswoman at the store at the mall. It's much, much, much less.Connect with Just Eyewear several ways:
So, I decided to do something about it. The prices you see on this site reflect how much glasses should cost. We don't have an expensive retail store lease or sales staff to pay. We don't have to hold expensive inventory to get you in the door, and we don't try to upsell you on high-priced designer frames after you see the "managed care" tray.
We do our best to provide you with all of the information you need to make your own decision about what type of glasses you need. We strongly believe in the equality brought by the internet and the power of transparent pricing. We encourage you to comparison shop.
Bottom line, I know glasses don't have to be expensive, and I hope to help others realize the same.
