Betty Crocker Shake & Pour Dessert Mixes Review & Giveaway **Closed**

You are really gonna love these next products I have to tell you about from Betty Crocker. They are called the Shake & Pour Dessert Mixes and I was lucky enough to get to try 3 different kinds.

1. Brownies
2. Chocolate Cupcakes
3. Confetti Cupcakes

They also sent me that great looking hand mitt for getting hot dishes out of the oven or microwave along with a timer for the baking and the cupcake stand to put them on when I am having a party or just guests over to dinner.

The Shake & Pour jugs were so darn easy, I think even my husband could not mess them up! You just add water and shake it up real good! No eggs, no milk, no flavorings, just plain water and shake it up. You won't need to mess up bowls and spoons anymore or if you used a mixer, you won't need that either. I was floored at how easy it was! The best part was that we could not tell any difference in the taste! And we got them just like we like them, soft and chewy! I used Betty Crocker's images because my camera for some odd reason is showing a flash like effect on half of my pics so you can't see them too good. I am hoping the guys at Best Buy are able to fix it in time before I get too far behind. I have been waiting to get my camera back but decided I better go ahead and get busy.

Next, after a few days and to give us time to recoup from the brownies, we made the chocolate cupcakes. Same thing as before. Just add water and shake it up really good! When I make chocolate cake, my husband usually likes either chocolate icing or cream cheese icing and for the cupcakes we chose chocolate icing. I wish I could show you a picture of them but they are in the camera at Best Buy getting fixed. I have a feeling once they are done, my pictures will be erased.

I can tell you that I had put the really cute cup cake stand away to use for the next big get together that my in-laws plan every year so I wanted to make sure that it looked 100% in tip top shape so I just used my regular cup cake box and laid them single so they wouldn't mush them all. Besides, with the two of us here alone most of the time, we pick convenience over having to deal with putting things together and tearing them down later.  We used cream cheese in making the icing for these with some toffee bits mixed in the icing and they were awesome!

For the icing on these, even thought they had confetti in the cupcakes, I used a plain white vanilla based icing and then added some crushed white chocolate to the icing to make it look interesting and taste great! With the cupcakes looking so colorful with the confetti in them, I did not want to reflect on that part and thus used the icing to make a statement. This really did not hardly take any time at all to accomplished!

I did use the oven mitt but I did not use the timer. I actually forgot all about it until a day or so later, I got to looking for it and found it in with the utensil drawer. I guess I must have laid it there when Mike was working in the kitchen changing our lights in the ceiling.

I can honestly say that I will purchase Betty Crocker's Pour and Shake mixes again, mostly the brownies, because we don't do too many cupcakes with just the two of us here now that the girls have moved out. They are so fast and efficient that it would be crazy not to. It doesn't take long to bake and you are ready in now time.

I am not what most would consider a gourmet cook, I just am a simple cook who knows what flavors go where to make things taste good. I have made up some soups off the top of my head, but not desserts. They have always been my weakness and I guess that is a good thing, because I would be huge if I baked that much!

But honestly, all 3 of these products were a big hit with my husband who likes to have stuff here that he can do. He likes to surprise me every now and then and make something so this should help him out a good deal. Because of the ease of these 3 products, even he can make himself a dessert when the craving hits and I am not here or not feeling good. He can now go into the kitchen with confidence that he can get it done! Thanks Betty Crocker!

I also have another great offer to tell you about: Want to enjoy the classic cereal flavors you and your family love as mouthwatering muffins? Visit http://bit.ly/CMcoupon to download a printable coupon for $.80 off one package of any variety of Cereal Muffin Mix.

The great folks at Betty Crocker will be giving one winner the same package that I just reviewed! Aren't you excited??? I am because you will love these desserts as much as we do. Good in the U.S. only.

"Disclosure: The product, gift pack, information, and additional sample have been provided by Betty Crocker through MyBlogSpark."

Just saw the giveaway. I would say that being a southern girl transplanted in the Pacific Northwest I'd love a shake and pour cornbread. Or muffin mix. I make my own biscuits though.
