BATISTE Dry Shampoo Review

I was very fortunate recently to be able to try Batiste's Dry Shampoo for the first time. I actually had never even heard of them! So, I always get a kick out of finding new and different things and this was one of them. I think most of you know by now that the dry shampoo's work better on dirty hair, not clean hair. Try to not use it for at least 2 to 4 days after your last shampoo.

I tested Batiste's Dry Shampoo with Tresemme to see which one would work better. Like I said, I have never heard of the company but have heard of Tresemme so I wanted to make sure it was as good or maybe even better. All you do is spray your hair like the model above is doing and leave it on for one minute. You then brush it through your hair and then fix it however you normally do. Tresemme's has a very nice light scent and did a pretty good job.

Before I used Batiste's Dry Shampoo, I washed my hair again to get all of Tresemme's product out of my hair and plus by then it was really dirty! I waited again for 2 or 4 days to go by before I used the Batiste Dry Shampool. Oh, by the way, the one I got was called Blush fragrance, which is a floral scent. I repeated the steps that I used in the Tresemme.

For the comparison, I have to say I liked them both but Batiste's scent was alot nicer and stayed with me longer. I loved the fact that it did not weigh my hair down and then I realized why. I was reading the paperwork and the notes on their website and they make their dry shampoo from RICE starch, not CORN starch like most of them do! Wow, I learn something new all the time! Who would have thought that it makes a difference if you use rice starch compared to corn starch? Also, I was happy to learn that it does not have a powdery residue like some products do.

I also found out that the dry shampoo can come in (3) other scents and you can get it in different colors to match your hair! Awesome! Batiste works so well because it can help get rid of the greasy, oily roots and can revitalize your hair in between washings. I am gonna have to play around with it when I get the chance to really do it right and see if it will add volume to my thin hair. They even have it in travel sizes so that you can easily stick them into your handbag and nobody will be the wiser!

My husband said he really could not tell if I had washed my hair or not utnil he got up close and smelled the Blush scent, then he knew I had used the dry shampoo instead of washing my hair! So, you can take that to the bank, because Mike is rarely fooled by anything! I wonder if there was no scent, would he be able to tell? Was it just the scent that gave it away?

So, I can honestly say that the Batiste Dry Shampoo held up against the Tresemme and it did a bang up job! I hope that you will do your own test and see which one you like the best. Just always remember to do it with dirty hair, not freshly cleaned hair. It is the same concept that the hairdressers do. They always tell me the color does better when the hair is dirty versus it being clean.

I have to say that I found this company to be fresh and that they are proud to make their products here in America. They even have an American Flag on their site! Here is a little excerpt I copied off of their company information tab:
