The Choice Book Review

Picking up the pace, now, so hold onto your hats because we will be having quite a few books to go over with you and I hope that I have picked a great selection for you to get a peek at to help you decide if this is a book for you to read. Like always, I like to give you an excerpt from the back of the book:
One young woman. Two very different roads. The choice will change everything.

Even as a pregnant, unwed teen in 1974, Sandy Lincoln wanted to do the right thing. But when an ageless woman approached her in a convenience store with a mysterious prophecy and a warning, doing the right thing became even more unclear. She made the best choice she could...and has lived with the consequences.

More than thirty years later, a pregnant teen has come into her life, and Sandy's long-ago decision has come back to haunt her. The stakes rise quickly, leaving Sandy with split seconds to choose once more. But still her choice to bring life....or death?
Sandy lives in Rutledge, Georgia when she became pregnant by her boyfriend, Brad. Her parents stuck with her and she was sent to live in Atlanta with her Aunt Linda. She went to school there and had twin fraternal boys and she gave them both up for adoption. One went to a couple in South Carolina and one to a couple who lived in San Francisco.

Sandy went on to college and became a high school English teacher. Several years into her teaching, a Spanish girl named Maria came into her class and told Sandy that she was pregnant. She also confided that her father had let other Spanish men live in the trailer and one day one of them raped her. He told her if she ever told that he would kill her father and her. It just so happened that the school counselor was also Maria's aunt and she went to live with her.

Sandy called the new counselor, Carol Ramsey and told her what was going on. The principal of the school told Sandy that she needed to let Carol handle this problem. Maria came and told Sandy that Carol wanted her to have an abortion. Sandy asked her if she was sure that was what she wanted. She kept getting pressure from the principal to stay out of the matter.

Finally, Sandy told her brother Ben about the situation and he gave her the name of a lawyer who was a friend of his, named Jeremy Lane from Tyrone, Georgia. He was married and had 3 children of his own. At the request of Jeremy's secretary, Sandy started going to their church and she met Jeremy and his family. One look told her that he was one of her twin boys!

Next thing Sandy knew, Carol was causing her alot of problem's and they finally decided to meet in Atlanta with Carol's lawyer, Dustin Abernathy, who had been transferred from the L.A. office to Atlanta. As soon as Sandy met him, she realized he was the other twin boy that she had given up!

I skipped over some things so that the story is not ruined for you if you decide to read this awesome book. It is filled with twists and turns that will make your head spin. It is also amazing that after 30 years, this woman, Sandy gets to meet up with both of her twin boys. I believe all of you will like this book and urge you to consider reading it.

Happy Reading!
