Rubbermaid Lunch Box Review

I have a great new product to tell you about that is made by Rubbermaid and it is the Sandwhich Lunch Box Kit. It is actually pretty amazing what they have managed to put inside that little box! When I started to take it apart, I was amazed that there was alot more storage compartments than you think there is. Of course, the main part, which hold the sandwhich is on the bottom followed by a blue piece that you put in the freezer and let it get good and frozen and that is what keeps your sandwhich fresh and from spoiling.

The measurements of the containers are:

Kit Includes: 2 Snack Containers (.5 cup capacity), 1 Side Container (1.2 cup capacity), 1 Sandwich Container (2.6 cup capacity) and 1 Medium Blue Ice
Size: 4.81" l x 5.625" w x 5.25" h

As you can see, it has 2 small cups and then 1 longer cup at the other end that can carry either one large amount of your favorites or you can break it down into 2 separate food groups. Of course, because of my stomach issues, just looking at this makes me wonder how anyone would be able to eat all of that! To me, that is a really large amount of food. If I ate all of that, I would have a stomach ache so fast you wouldn't know what hit me. But, for a healthy man or woman who has to  go to work everyday and even your children to school, this is the right size for them to get a good meal prepared by you.

Here are the benefits of the Rubbermaid Lunch Box Kit:

**Containers stack compactly to stay organized
**Blue Ice™ keeps your lunch cool on the go**Secure lid seal
**Microwave, Dishwasher, and Freezer Safe
**Sandwich container holds regular and specialty bread
**Sandwich Kit includes 2 Snack Containers, 1 Side Container, 1 Sandwich Container and 1 Medium **Blue Ice

We were able to use this great product on our trip this past month. We were gone for a little over 2 weeks and we had brought stuff with us for breakfast (mostly cereal but I did bring oatmeal and then we went to the store for philly cream cheese to eat with the bagels we brought from home also). I tried to not buy food as much as possible for breakfast and lunch. I wanted our main meal, dinner, to be the only one we ate out. Of course, that got sidelined a few times. The driving from destination to destination was one example where my husband veered off track.

But several times we stopped at rest areas and made our sandwiches. Then I would make another one and put it back in the sandwhich container. Since we didn't carry veggies and pasta with us, I used the smaller containers to put the 2 flavors of cream cheese in those (blueberry and regular flavor). It worked out pretty good, I think.  We actually even used the one longer piece to put pieces of fudge in it to keep it from melting. I know that is probably not what it is intended for, but we had to think quick to make sure we did not lose any of our food.

They also have a coupon you can print out on Rubbermaid's site to use to get a little off the price of one of these. I had one inside my set and it is for $1.50 off on one of the Rubbermaid Kits. Just click on the this coupon and it will take you to the site you need to be on to print this coupon.

They also included a sample of Dijon Mustard and a few more coupons on different sandwhich items so it was a really cool item to review. I did not know that there would be coupons to help me save on some luncheon products so that was a nice surprise. You can find Rubbermaid products in a good many grocery stores that you can use your coupon or you can check out the store locator on their site also. I hope you go and check them out because they have all kinds of different storage ideas for different parts of your home. I wish I had the time to list them all but you will have no trouble finding them. Just go to the Products page and hit (Browse by Product) and it  will  take you anywhere you want to go.

I took a quick snippet of Rubbermaid's history because you know I like to know something about each and every product I review and a big part of that is the history of how it became what it is today (I did not copy all of  it, you can find out the rest by looking under About Us):

Thanks for the info and link to the coupon. I always look for Rubbermaid because the quality of their products always seems to much higher than similar brands. I like the cold pack aspect of this set...great for cream cheese-frosted carrot cake! :)
