Malibu Swimmers Conditioner Review

I was very lucky recently to be able to review this great conditioner called Malibu Swimmer's Conditioner. What made this so awesome was that it came right before we took off for a 2 week vacation! I did not get to use it the first week but the second week we had an outdoor pool, indoor pool and the ocean, so I had alot of time to use this conditioner.

What made it so important for me was that I had just last month had my hair colored a little lighter than usual and then had some highlights added to brighten up my hair. I guess I am not ready for the gray hair yet but I know it's coming, but for now, I would like to keep my new hair color looking good! And that is where Malibu Swimmer's Conditioner comes in.

Between using the indoor pool and the ocean, I wanted to make sure my hair held up under those conditions. I did not go in the outdoor pool because of the RA and both knees being replaced, they recommend that I use the heated pool. And I can tell you why: because cold water will freeze that darn metal in my knees and then I have the awfullest pain! So, I don't go swimming in outdoor pools anymore. The heated pools and the days that the weather was extremely hot, making the ocean a little warmer than usual were the days I went out.

Malibu Swimmer's Conditioner is a a great conditioner that is formulated with antioxidant vitamins and botanicals specifically for swimmers of all ages. Just goes to show it still can work on older women! It helped prevent my hair from getting green hair caused by copper that is in outdoor pools. It left my hair silky soft, manageable, full of shine and free of minerals.

Who knew that there were more minerals in the pools other than chlorine? I thought that was the only one I had to be careful about but it turns out that there is more in those pools such as spa chemicals (chlorine, bromine) and hard water minerals (copper, calcium, and magnesium)! No kidding! I asked the guy who cleaned the pools were we stayed at 2 different hotels and they both agreed!

What those minerals do to our hair is the reason why many people are walking around with hair that needs help! The spa chemicals and minerals that can attach on to the hair and scalp can cause dryness, lack of body, damage, discoloration, hair loss, flaky, itchy scalp, and the inability for chemical services to properly process. I sure don't want my next hair coloring to come out looking like a green eyed monster!

It is really simple to use. All you do is wash your hair like you normally do and squeeze out as much water as you can before you apply Malibu Swimmer's Conditioner. Leave on as long as you can because the longer that it stays on the better that it works. Rinse with cool water and then fix it however you normally do. I hope that you will be able to see the difference in your hair just like I did. Crazy me forgot to take a before picture and an after picture or I would show you.

We stayed in 4 different locations so the driving and packing and unpacking and checking emails and trying to keep up with things on my blog left me with no time to do much else and it ended up making me forget things. On top of not taking the pictures, we left Charlie's (our Yorkie) water bowl and place mat that he eats from at my aunt's house (the first stop).

So, when we got to Niagara Falls we had to buy a new bowl and place mat because he won't eat unless it is on a place mat. When we got home my Aunt had mailed us the ones we left behind. I should have called her and told her not to worry, that we had bought new ones but I never dreamed she would mail them without waiting to hear from us. I was going to call when we got home and tell her to keep them for the next time.

So, you can see that if I don't write things down and read them constantly, I forget things. But, really, this conditioner is awesome and especially if you swim in a pool alot, this is gonna help your hair! I knew that there were shampoos out there that did this but not conditioners. It was a great learning experience for me and for my husband, who used it also. He is getting salt and pepper hair so I don't know how much it would have showed on him and he doesn't color his hair but either way, his looked nice and shiny, just like mine!

If you would like to buy the Malibu Swimmer's Conditioner then check out this site and order a bottle for yourself to try! They also have the Shampoo and Treatments for you to try also.
