Wow, have I got a great deal to tell you about today! If you need some extra help with getting your kids back into school with some of the necessary supplies, then this is one post you will want to read and enter the giveaway at the end. I have just reviewed a Crayola & Target Gift Pack that includes these items:
1.) Large box of Cheerios (plain)
2.) Box of 8 Dry Erase Crayons
3.) $20 Target Gift Card
4.) $5 Coupon inside Cheerios for purchase of Crayola Products
I have always been a big fan of Cheerios, especially here lately, with all the new flavors coming out! But, this original box of Cheerios hasn't changed much over the years and I for one am glad to see some cereals are still around that I used to eat when I was growing up. Cheerios is one of the few cereals around that can still help in watching the calories while also helping with our sugar intake. I don't know if you have tried any Cheerios lately, but my all time favorites are the Cinnamon, Peanut Butter and the Chocolate. I also love the MultiGrain Cheerios also and will top that one off with either blueberries or strawberries.
I also wanted to make everyone aware of a special that Target has going on right now for the month of August:
Available exclusively at Target Stores during the month of August:
**Purchase specially marked Nature Valley® Crunchy Granola Bars, Pillsbury® Toaster Strudel® **Pastries, and Big G Cereal packages and you could save up to $5 on Crayola products
**Participating Big G cereal boxes will feature a fun Crayola coloring activity on pack
**Save on General Mills products when you purchase specially marked Crayola 64-CT Crayons
This back-to-school season will be as easy as 1-2-3 with a little help from General Mills, Crayola, and Target, the one-stop-shop for all your back-to-school needs! Head to the front of the class and check out Grocery Savvy where you’ll find even more coupons for back-to-school, recipes, and a special 2012 “Grocery Savvy Crayola® Back To School” Sweepstakes!
Be sure to enter the sweepstakes for your chance to win one of the 700 Crayola® 8-count Washable Dry Erase Crayons or one of 20 Crayola® Dry-Erase Activity Centers Zany Play Edition. I went already myself and entered. It is really easy and pretty fast. I was in and out within 3 minutes or less.
I was really amazed at how Crayola has made these Dry Erase Markers look like real crayons and then when I turned the box over, I saw that it also contained it's own sharpner! So, now you can sharpen the Dry Erase Crayons right there on the box! Look below to see what I mean:
Also, so not forget on the box of the Cheerio's is another $5 coupon for you to get more Crayola products!
So, if you get the coupons out of the box of Cheerios and add it with your $20 Target Gift Card, you actually have $25 to spend on Crayola products or if you need some other school supplies, use the Gift Card to purchase what Crayola products you need and use the rest accordingly. Just remember that the coupons in the Cheerios box do have to be spent on Crayola products.
I just checked out Grocery Savvy's site and they have a list of other products that have the $5 coupons so go over and see which other products you can buy to help out with your Crayola purchases. I will tell you that Toaster Strudel, Nature Valley Granola Bars, Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch have the $5 coupons also.
My grandson is having a blast with his Dry Erase Crayons and I had hoped his mom would have sent me some pictures before I had to post but she is running behind and I did not want to hold onto the review or giveaway just for some of his pictures that he made. She said she also got him some regular crayons with the coupons and a few miscellaneous things for him to use at school. (They live in a different town than I do so that is why I can't just pop over and get them). If I get his pictures before this giveaway is over, I will come back and post a few of them.
My husband and I kept the Cheerios for ourselves since we are Cheerios fans and have just about gotten that whole box demolished by now. I mixed up some of my peanut butter and chocolate Cheerios in with the regular box and got a really interesting mix. I call it my in between Cheerio's Trail Mix. I keep a small bag near my laptop so if I get some hunger pains, I reach down and grab a handful of the mixture. Alot less calories and they taste really awesome.
I am trying to stay away from candy, pies, cookies and cakes! I think Mike is trying to sabotage me because he bought a peach pie home the other night! I could have strangled him. It is one of my weaknesses because we heat it up and put vanilla bean ice cream on top. Gosh, it sure is good!
I would love to know which General Mills products are you most likely to buy to get the $5 in coupon's for the Crayola products that your child will need for school? Does this help you out some or not? I know everyone won't have preschoolers or even kindergarten and first grade children, so this may affect you differently. What General Mills cereals do you and your family like the best?
The wonderful folks at General Mills along with the other sponsors have agreed to let one winner get the same package that I received! So, you will get a $20 Target GC, Big box of Cheerios and a set of 8 Crayola Dry Erase Crayons! And don't forget to get that $5 in coupons out of the box of Cheerios! Open to the U.S. only. Good Luck Everyone!
