Aurora Crinkle Friend Review & Giveaway **Closed**

I recently had the great pleasure of reviewing an awesome little toy called an Aurora Crinkle Friend and we chose to get the Toucan. It just seemed to me to be so cute and something that would fascinate any child or small toddler. I am so glad we got it because it was pretty hilarious and has so many different things inside to make you laugh!

This is the description on Aurora's site of the Toucan:
8.5" CRINKLE FRIEND - TOUCAN is a huggable stuffed bird made from soft material and helps baby with developmental skills. Designs use bright, vivid colors and patterns that invite baby to focus, stimulating vision. The textures invite baby to explore, stimulating tactile senses. While Crinkle, squeak and rattle awaken baby auditory awareness and is designed to keep children busy for hours; suitable for ages six months and up.

The Toucan has a rattle in it's neck area and it's two side wings have some kind of crinkle material because when you touch it, it crinkles! I guess that is why they named them Aurora Crinkle Friends! And just like it says in the above quote, there is also places on the Toucan that when you press it will send out squeaks or screeches is what I call them! Whoever you get one of these for will be so happy to receive one because of the amount of fun that they can provide.

We had originally gotten it for Mike's niece but somehow Mike ended up packing it in Charlie's bag, our Yorkie. So, when we left for our 2 1/2 week vacation back in July, I had no idea that he had put it in Charlie's bag. Well, guess what? Once we got to my aunt's house and I was taking stuff out of his bag so he has familiar toys to play with, I accidently took the Toucan out of the plastic bag that Mike had wrapped it in.

Charlie immediately saw it and heard it because I must have touched the wings and when he heard that crinkle sound, he went about nuts on me! He started jumping up and down and barking like crazy! He thought the toy was for him and at this point, I could not take it away from him. What I did do was when we got to Niagra Falls after leaving my aunt's, they had a gift shop there and I found a small stuffed frog for Charlie so I could coax him into giving me back the Toucan. Well, it worked for a little while but he did not forget about that Toucan!

Finally, when we got to Annapolis, MD and I went into town there, I found this psychodelic teddy bear with a tee shirt on and got it for Charlie so he would release the Toucan. He really loves teddy bears and he went nuts over this bear so I was able to get the Toucan back then. When we got home, I immediately washed it in the very delicate cycle and left it to hang dry instead of putting in the dryer. I wasn't sure if putting it in the dryer would mess the crinkle sounds up so I did not take any chances. Mr. Toucan came thru with flying colors and is none the worse for wear!

There are several other Crinkle Friends in the same collection that my Toucan was in and here is a look at them:

This is the Crab.

And the Alligator.

And lastly, the Hedgehog.

All of them will have the crinkle noise along with all kinds of other sounds for your child to squeeze and get some kind of hilarious noise. They will help somebody's baby with developmental skills along with having fun with them. Just be forewarned that if you have a dog in the house, he may want to take it over like Charlie did!

I found this info while seeing if they had any policies regarding the kinds of toys that they make for children:
We take special care to protect the safety and privacy of children. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly provide our service to persons under the age of 13. We also do not send email correspondence to anyone who tells us that they are under the age of 13.

We urge parents and guardians to participate in their children's online activities and use parental control or other web filtering technology to supervise children's access to the web.
They offer a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee should you need it. I don't think you will because if my Toucan is any indication, then these particular stuffed animals will last a long time if you don't abuse them.
