Protein Bakery Sponsor Spotlight Review

I don't know if you know it by now but I love The Protein Bakery! And I really have to be honest and tell you that when I first heard of them, I did not think that I would. Most protein foods taste a little blah and that was what I was expecting from these cookies and brownies and boy, did I get the shock of a lifetime! I even liked two cookies that I would have told you before I ate them that I would hate them. They were the Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies and the Trail Mix Cookie!

And now the Trail Mix Cookie is what I want to eat every time I get a craving! Just go to their website, The Protein Bakery and at the top of the page, click on Cookies and just scroll down and look at all the varieties they have. There isn't an individual link to each cookie or I would save you some time.

But here is what they say about their cookies:
We got this bakery party started by first creating "cookies with muscle," some eleven years and change ago. Lots more change since then. Resulting in the ten bold flavor profiles currently taking shape… and all helping to keep you in great shape. How? Every recipe is wheat flour-free, trans fat-free, and has no gluten*. A key ingredient is rolled oats, which has lots of dietary fiber. Want more? Each bite is packed with lean, mean, muscle-building protein. Whey protein is rich in essential acids and helps maintain lean body mass for optimal health.

Our entire assortment makes for naturally delicious snack options. Each one continues to be a break-out hit. Especially when compared to other "healthy" products on the market. We never compromise on quality. Or our promise-- we provide a smart indulgence that tastes amazing! Free yourself from the calorie confessional. Let your body go about its business with our healthy benefits upgrade!

Enjoy our unique balance of a protein punch and big bountiful taste. It's a dynamic duo that gets your attention, right? That's why we serve up these fresh-baked goodies 24/7, on our website. No waiting. *No gluten in our products! However, we are baked in a facility that uses gluten in other product they produce, so we are NOT certified gluten free.
The reason you see them still in their wrappers is that once you open them you really need to eat them within a few days and I would have had too many of them opened taking pictures and I did not want any of these bad boys getting hard or stale before I had time to eat them. I know the pictures would look better without the cellophane but at least my cookies were still soft and very good when I did open them to eat!
Now, these are the Brownies and until you have eaten some of these exotic brownies, you have not really eaten the best! I got to sample the Wicked Mint Brownie, Chocolate Chip Blondie, Peanut Butter Brownie and the Black & White Brownie this go around. And man o man, that Wicked Mint Brownie something else! The little green chips were the mints and they were awesome! I even liked the Peanut Butter Brownie which I wasn't so sure of at first but it actually became one of my favorites. There isn't much not to like about The Protein Bakery and I hope that you will give them a shot sometime because it will be well worth your time and money to do so!

You can get their concoctions in gift boxes, tins and gift bags. You can get the cookies in a 2 pack or in gift bags that come in 7 packs of 2 cookies each. Oh, remember I said I loved the Trail Mix Cookie the best? Well, I found the most awesome description on their site of the Trail Mix Cookie:
Here's our spin on nature's candy-- a hearty blend of whey protein, rolled oats, dried fruits, nuts, seeds, coconut, and fresh cinnamon. This naturally delicious, trans fat-free, wheat flour-free cookie is perfect for your next outdoor hike. Into the woods or into midtown. It's a marathon of taste that keeps you running. Treat yourself to nature's candy!
Now, tell me that doesn't sound tempting? Gosh I wish I had one right now! I may have to order me a bunch of these and nothing else. There is something about them that just gets me going and it is very strange because normally I go for the most chocolate, most frosting, most candy tasting cookies or desserts but these hit the spot every time without all of that sugar! And they really are that thick, too! Here is a look at a few more cookies:
