Brew Over Ice Review

Wow, I can hardly believe I got chosen to do this review! I love coffee whether it is iced or hot almost as much as I love a good cup of tea! And this Brew Over Ice that is made for my Keurig Single Coffee Maker, is the absolute best! There are nine blended iced coffee and iced tea flavors to choose from!

Here are the four flavors I got to try:

1. Green Mountain Coffee's Nantucket Blend Iced Coffee
2. Green Mountain Coffee's Hazelnut Iced Coffee (this must be new, no link up yet)
3. Celestial Seasonings Southern Sweet Black Tea
4. Celestial Seasonings Half & Half Black Tea & Lemonade (this one too must be new)

Here is a video that really explains it all and makes it look so awesome!

I loved the Hazelnut Iced Coffee the best! I love just about anything that has Hazelnut in it anyway but this coffee is awesome cold over ice. I think on the next go around I am gonna try and make like a smoothie type coffee drink in my blender after I brew the coffee and add a little chocolate syrup and extra milk, I think that sounds really awesome!

It is very easy to make and if you already have a Keurig Single Serve Coffee Pot like mine, then it really is a no brainer. You just drop the individual little K-cups into the pod holder and push down and the coffee just gets made all on it's own! The glass below is what they recommend that you use to put under the spout instead of your coffee cup because it makes more than what your cup can hold. Also, do not put real glass under there either.

We next tried the Celestrial Seasonings Southern Black Tea, which everyone knows I live in Georgia so I can be very critical when it comes to teas. I can't stand a botched up glass of sweet tea! This one was actually pretty good. Which surprised me because I normally don't go for machine blah kind of tea. I made the cup and let it cool down some on it's own because if you fill up a glass with ice and then pour hot stuff inside, it just melts the ice and then waters it down. So, I let it cool by itself before I will pour any.

The Nantucket Blend Coffee we did something a little different. I know it says to let it be over ice but I decided to make an iced coffee slush with the coffee instead. I brewed the coffee per instructions but then put the ice cubes, coffee, some sugar, some chocolate syrup and a little more milk and let it all blend up! It was awesome! You can mix anything you want in the blender like vanilla flavoring or even hazelnut flavoring if you prefer those. I just like the mocha like taste myself, so go knock yourselves out coming up with your own Slushie like coffee drink!

The next one I had to give to my friend and neighbor, Lynette. I am not allowed citrus like foods and lemons are definitely citrus. But also because I don't like lemon in my tea. So, I tend to stay away from pre-made tea mixes that have any form of lemon in them. This was way before I even knew about my bladder condition. It is a personal choice and my friend was excited to try it out and she gave it a thumbs up! She was really amazed that her drink came from my Keurig Single Maker cup of coffee!

Sold online at Keurig.com and GreenMountainCoffee.com and in select mass, grocery, and specialty retail stores, such as Target, Wal-Mart, Kroger, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Also, check out Brew Over Ice's Facbook page for some more great ideas! You can also follow them on Twitter.

I've tried this - it works really well - needs a lot of ice tho.
