Don't you just love Newman's Own Organics? They have never failed me when I reach out for a sponsor for one of my giveaways and I know that they are a fan favorite of my reader's because they are Organic and because their food and snacks actually do taste great!
Well, they have done it once more for me and here is what is being offered for my Father's Day Giveaway Event that starts on June 10th and ends on the 18th:
1. All flavors of Chocolate Cups
2. All flavors of Chocolate Bars
5. Newman's Original O's
6. Chocolate Newman O's
I will tell you about the Chocolate Cups that come in Caramel, Peanut Butter and Mint. Of all of them, I have to say my husband and I both agree the Mint is our very favorite. Which was a surprise coming from him because he is a peanut butter cup lover from way back! But there is just something about that Mint Cup that really grabs ahold of you and hooks ya right in. But the very best part is this: they have 3 cups in each package, not 2 like in most other brands!! We got a whole extra cup to share and boy did it hit the spot! A couple of them you have a choice between milk chocolate and dark chocolate.
Now, where to start with the Chocolate Bars? Mmm, let's go with the Mocha Milk Chocolate because that is my favorite. If you are a coffee person or just like the flavor of coffee, you will love this Mocha Milk Chocolate! It is smooth and silky going down and at the last minute you will taste that mocha like coffee taste. Nothing better than that! My next favorite is the Espresso Dark Chocolate. Now, with this one, you will definitely taste the bold taste of espresso but the rich velvety dark chocolate tones it down a bit and it will all melt away into your mouth as you take that last swallow! Phew, if you are an espresso freak, then you are gonna love this dark chocolate. Here is the link to the original Chocolate Bars review.
My husband is a pop corn freak! It comes in Butter Flavor, Light Butter and No Butter/No Salt. Again, there is something for everyone depending on your taste. This is an organic pop corn that can be microwaved just like the regular ones. I don't know if I would do this but Nell Newman says the pop corn is good with her Dad's Ranch Dressing or a cajun spice or even some sour cream. I am not too sure about that. I know chocolate and caramel taste good on pop corn but I don't know about her suggestions. I just know that the Light Pop Corn was delicious! Original review for the popcorn, pretzels and cookies are all on this link.
I got one bag of the Unsalted Pretzel Rounds and also got the Salted Pretzel Sticks. I love the pretzels without salt but Mike can't eat snacks unless they have salt on them! So, I wanted one of each kind for us and so that he would have something he enjoyed also. They have 10 varieties so I don't have room to name them all but I can tell you that their pretzels are baked not fried! Well, to start with, I did not know that pretzels were fried!! Newman's pretzels make a great snack because they only have 1 or 1.5 grams of fat (not trans fat). You will love either one depending on whether you want salt or not.
I loved the Ginger O's the best. They reminded me of gingerbread cookies with a white filling. All the Newman O's are similar to Oreo's but they are slightly smaller and the taste is very different. The Original O's are chocolate with a white filling. The Peanut Butter O's is chocolate cookies filled with peanut butter. Almost tastes like a Reese's Cup! My husband loved the Peanut Butter O's the best while I stuck with the Ginger O's. Doesn't matter which one you like, they are all good. Besides the ones we tried, they also come in Hint O'Mint. I would have loved those also. I love mint & chocolate flavored cookies. But I wanted to try something that I would not ordinarily try so I bypassed them this time.
I briefly spoke about all the kinds of great food you will get from Newman's Own Organics and I left links to all of my original reviews (I saw no sense in boring you with repeated info) and I also left you the links to the foods themselves on Newman's website. Between those two, you will get a good and fair assessment of Newman's Organic products. I have tried them all now I think with the exception of their Organic Coffee, I think that has just recently been added. And I haven't tried the Mint Newman O's but I think I have on all the rest and I can honestly say I could not find anything wrong with any of the snacks. I may have not liked a few but that was because I did not like them period, had nothing to do with the brand. I would have felt that way about any brand making that particular flavor. You will come to love them as much as we do.
To sum it up, all Newman's Own Organics products are certified organic by Oregon Tilth. Here is a quote from their site regarding organic:
Organic agriculture is a holistic system with the primary goal of optimizing the health and productivity of interdependent communities of soil life, plants, animals, and people. Management practices are carefully selected with an intent to restore and then maintain ecological harmony on the farm, its surrounding environment and ultimately the whole planetary ecosystem.Disclaimer: Mary Bearden personally reviewed these products.
