Faith, Soaps and Love Sponsor Spotlight Review

I have a super company that I want to tell you about called Faith, Soaps and Love who sent me numerous items to review. She was such a nice lady to work with and so easy going, so I wanted to give her a special Thank You, Tracy Fritze! Here is what I was sent to review:

1. Solid Lotion Bar - Lavender scented
2. Peppermint Patty Lip Balm
3. Black Tie Affair Hand Crafted Soap (for him)
4. Beau Brummel Hand Crafted Soap (for him)

They were all awesome but the reason I picked men's soap this time instead of soap for me is I always get stuff sent to me to try so I have made an effort to find things that hubby can try also and feel like he is part of the process and get some really nice smelling soap in the process. We both have dry itchy skin in the winter and the last time I had gotten him some handmade soap, he really fell in love with it and said it was some of the best soap he has ever used, so I decided to get him a couple more bars to try. This picture does not due it justice as it is real crisp and clear and the black stripes are alot darker. Here they appear grayish.

The Black Tie Affair Soap was our favorite! The smell was so intoxicating and mysterious. We could not figure out what was in it so I looked on Tracy's site and it says it has a little bit of citrus with musk to give it a sultry like smell. Mmm, can you imagine that and your tall dark handsome white knight? That is what it made me think of. Magical nights where anything is possible! I guess a woman can use this but I wouldn't because a man needs to have something that is his own and I have so many soaps for women that there is no way we could trade off. They smell too much like a woman that he would probably get joked at all day at work. So, no, I decided that this litte baby was gonna be all his!
Now, this one is called Beau Brummel and there is no mistaking this for a woman's soap! I am gonna quote Tracy on this one because she said it with such style I did not want to chop it up:
This intoxicating soap is what a gentleman's clubs in the 18th century may have smelled like. Tobacco and black tea are the dominate notes with hints of fruit and spice. This fragrance is heady, masculine and evokes images of the classic well dressed gentleman!
Wow, I can just imagine the men in their top hats coming to call on a lady to go to a ball and they stare at each other so much in love but always being watched by chaperone's in those days! It smells great also but more of a spicier note than the Black Tie, almost reminds me of Chai Tea, with all that spiciness.
Now, something that I did get for me was the Solid Lotion Bar that is scented with Lavender. I think by now, everyone has gotten the picture that Lavender is my all time favorite scent and when I run across some unique and wonderful items, well, I just have to have one! I don't know if you have ever used a solid lotion bar before and if you haven't, then you are in for a wonderful treat! I liked it because it went on real smooth, especially my legs. I have super dry skin due to all the medications I take and my legs and feet and hands take the brunt of all of it.

What I did with the solid lotion bar is just run it up and down my legs until I felt they were covered really well and did the same with the bottoms of my feet and my hands to my elbows. You will feel slightly like a greased pig but not for long. As soon as it sinks into the skin really well, all you will feel is the softness. And Tracy knew just the right amount of Lavender to put in the bar because it is not overwhelming like some I have tried, but just a nice relaxing calm smell that immediately lifted my spirits. It is awesome! I do hope if nothing else you will try to get one of the solid lotion bars in your favorite scent. It is well worth it!

Lastly, the Peppermint Patty lip balm! I love Peppermint York Patties so this was a no brainer for me when I found out that she had this scent. I have been cutting back on what I eat and so I don't get these as much as I used to and now whenever I get that urge, I will pull this out and put some on and can pretend I really did just have a peppermint patty! Gosh, I don't know how they got the right amount of chocolate flavor and peppermint but really and truly it does taste and smell just like a real York Peppermint Patty.

Amazing! And the best part is that it really does help with dry, cracked lips, which I have almost all the time. Your lips will thank you and when you are really craving something chocolate and you reach for the lip balm instead, you will be glad that you did because you saved yourself some unnecessary calories! Here is what Tracy says is in the lip balm:

**Cocoa Butter which has beneficial moisturizing properties
**Shea Butter which forms a breathable, water-resistant film
**Beeswax which contains natural emulsifiers, which help retain moisture in the skin
**Sweet Almond Oil which is renowned for its rich concentration of oleic and linoleic essential fatty acids which help to give it unequalled penetrating and restructuring properties.
**Castor Oil which acts as a humectant to draw moisture to your skin
**All this is topped off with flavor and a touch of sweetener to enhance the flavor even more!

Here is what I found out about Tracy in her profile page:
Have dry skin? Well, I can help! Handmade soap moisturizes your skin unlike commercial soap can not. Cold process soap retains the natural glycerin within the soap itself. Commercial soap is made in large batches with heat and the glycerin is removed!

The chemicals and synthetic ingredients commercial soaps contain are often the cause of skin allergies that range from mild itchiness to eczema.

I do use fragrance oils, which are man made, in most of my soaps but many contain essential oils.

Besides relieving your dry skin, handmade soap is often times so much more beautiful and fun than commercial soap! Grab a cup of coffee and take a while to check out the soaps that I offer! I just wish you could smell them through the computer.

What is with the J316 stamp? J316 stands for John 3:16 from the Bible. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." It is my prayer that my soaps are a blessing unto you!

I have attempted to break down my soaps into three categories:

* Handcrafted Soaps - these are soaps that I make an effort to always have on hand.

* Limited Edition Soaps - these are soaps that I may likely only ever make one batch of. There are SO many awesome scents available, I love making new stuff all the time!

* Gift Sets/Value Packs - this is where you will find listings for multiple bars, gift sets, Soap-of-the-Month Clubs, and value packs! This section also includes value packs on my lip balms and incense.

Tracy from Faith, Soaps and Love has graciously agreed to give the winner of the Tisket A Tasket Spring Giveaway a $10 GC to shop at her Etsy shop. You are gonna want to get at least one of the items I reviewed, They are all awesome! The Blog Hop Event starts on April 8th (Easter) and ends on the 22nd. Open to U.S. only. Good Luck!

I ADORE Tracy's soaps, solid lotion bars and lip balm!
I have told her on numerous occasions the lotion bars are the best for de-Shreking one's feet! I just don't know why she doesn't use this in her product description! I recently got the lavender but started with Gardenia...mmmmm! My most recent purchase was Dragon's is my new favorite...well, until I get some of the Black Tie Affair you have now convinced me to try!

I have extremely dry skin, especially in cold weather... these products would appear to be less drying than the mass produced kind with lots of additives!
