Auric Blends Sponsor Spotlight Review

I have to tell you about this great company that makes wonderful solid perfumes and roll on perfumes out of very unusual scents and that company is Auric Blends.

Auric Blends has been kind enough to give the winner of the Blogmania 2012 Giveaway their choice of (3) scents in either solid or roll on that starts on April 25th and ends on the 30th so that the winner can receive her prizes in time for Mother's Day!

Auric Blends is having a sale right now on their LUXE Collection and you will receive 30% off of fragrances from our LUXE Collection, for a limited time:

Plus receive a FREE sample kit of all six fragrances (when you purchase at least one perfume from our LUXE Collection)

This collection has been with us for a few years now, but it has only been in the recent months that we've discovered, through comments and input from customers, how truly appreciated these fragrances are.
So we've given them a new name and are bringing them to the forefront of our collection. We hope you enjoy!

The Fragrances:

Desert Night (Soft Oriental) - a sandalwood, rose composition accented by muguet, jasmine and soft oriental nuance of musk, woods and amber
Divine Opium (Traditional Oriental) - a spicy oriental enhanced by cinnamon and pepper, with carnation, jasmine and rose. Supported with base notes of vanilla and patchouly

Moonlight (Soft Oriental) - an ambery, musky composition consisting of oriental spices, exotic florals, musk, amber, sensual woods and mosses

Vanilla Rain (Fresh Green) - a fresh green floral which begins with the energy of aldehydes. Rose, jasmine and muguet are married to a warm, musky drydown. (Don't let the name fool you, the vanilla is nothing but a subtle base note, barely detectable)

Water Goddess (Floral Oriental) - a magnolia floral bouquet with touches of rose and violet, supported by a background of exotic woods and mosses
Water Lily (Fresh Green) - a floral musky bouquet composed of jasmine, rose, muguet des bois and geranium. A touch of green at the top adds brightness

My favorite was the Eygptian Goddess. It also is a very light, natural, woodsy scent that does not overpower me and make me feel like I am in a perfume factory! The roll ons go on so smoothly and they are precise which is what I like. With a spray the scent goes where it wants whereas the roll ons and the solids also stay where you put them. Did you know that there are over 39 fragrances to choose from at Auric Blends? I did not until I read it while doing this review. I like to keep the details fresh in my mind while writing so I pop back and forth from both. Eygptian Goddess was first introduced in 1993 and has been a favorite ever since because it is light and sexy while also being feminine. You will love this one.!

Now, the Water Goddess reminds me of a garden and water all put together, if that makes any sense. When I went to read the general description of the new blends (and this is one of them) they are made from Oriental and green blends! I knew I was right! I try not to read about the scents until after I say something about them so that you get my real honest to goodness opinion. I love that I was able to nail this one, though. If you like Oriental notes, then this is the one for you!

If you thought that Water Goddess was Oriental, then you will have no trouble viewing Chinese Rain as an Oriental blend also. It is a little like Water Goddess but with more of a floral scent, something like maybe jasmine or honeysuckle. Of course, that is if you really like those two flower fragrances. I liked it sorta but I was very careful to only swiped it very lightly across the back of my hands. That made all the difference. You go heavy on this one and you might regret all that powerful stuff that you unleash!
I also got to try two solid perfumes but there are 14 different scents to choose from! Then they take these solids and put them in richly textured perfume carried in a base of beeswax and coconut oil. They took their most favorite roll ons and made the solids from them.

The Amber line is from fragrances that have been used for thousands of years. The scents are spicy, rich, warm and earthy, amber is a fragrance that is worn just like a perfume. You take a small amount and rub it between your fingers til it is warm and put it wherever you wish, just like you would a perfume.

I hope that this gives you a little help in choosing what fragrance best suits you. I really loved the solids and two of the roll ons. The Oriental Blends are not my cup of tea. I loved the Love and Eygptian Goddess because they are warm and earthy and a light scent. Like I said earlier, if you like Oriental blends then you really will love these. They are excellent in every way that the other two that I liked better. I am just not a flowery type of girl as far as perfumes.

I personally love perfumes and purchase often but I have never tried a roll on or solid perfume but I have heard these last longer. The Desert Night and Moonlight scents sound so good, I would love to try them. I also read on their site that they also sell incense, and I love incense too!

The Water Lily scent sounds great. I am allergic to most perfumes but I am able to wear VS lotion (some of the scents not all) I get a headache from most perfumes maybe these would be different.
