Andalou Naturals Spotlight Sponsor Review

I have had the pleasure in the past to review Andalou Naturals products but it has been quite awhile and I had just about forgotten just how good they are! When I asked if they could help me in the Blogmania 2012, they were delighted to help me. I wanted to choose good products for this event because I knew it would be over on April 30th, and hopefully some of the prizes could get to the winner before Mother's Day. I think that is what I liked most about this event, that I could hopefully get things out in time and that the ones that didn't could be like extra little surprises that would come daily to make someones day! I know I love getting boxes or packages and can't wait to tear into them and see what they contain.

Andalou Naturals sent me their Mandarin Vanilla Shower Gel and Body Lotion to review. Which I have to admit is a good thing, because I don't think I have ever reviewed anything with those scents before so it was all new to me and gave me something new to talk about. See, I normally get Lavender or Vanilla or something along those lines so this is a whole new scent I got to experience and I must say that I found it quite pleasant. What they have done with their Mandarin Vanilla lotion and Shower Gel is quite unique. I loved using both of them. The citrus smell seems to wake  up your mind and say, hey, it's time to get up sleepy head! And boy, do I ever need those words, ALOT!

Andalou Naturals Advanced Fruit Stem Cell Science renews skin at the cellular level, giving us the benefit of nature and their experience to help us see visible results. They added mandarin vanilla, organic aloe vera, apricot and sunflower oils effectively that hydrate and replenish to nourish, soothe and soften dry skin. And I am here to tell you if it can help my dry skin, it definitely can help yours. I was beginning to see cracked lines in my hands and feet and it worried me more than the lines on my face because you can do things to help your face look better, but what can you really do about your hands and feet? Or really for that matter, the whole body?

I was definitely surprised that both the lotion and the shower gel had pretty much the same ingredients which means that it helps with your dry skin while you are taking a shower and then doubling up on helping the skin afterwards by putting the lotion on as soon as you get out of the shower. I love that it gives you what I call the double whammy on skin protection, although I am sure that has been said before.

Here are the three main things that Mandarin Vanilla Lotion & Shower Gel does best:

**Renews dormant cells - Awakening cells to behave like younger cells.
**Repairs damaged cells - Increasing cell longevity and vitality.
**Regenerates healthy cells - Stimulating healthy cell production.

I don't know if this means much to some people but it might so I thought I better throw it in with all the other things I discovered just in case it is important to someone who needs to know this:

All Andalou products have been tested by the Food Allergy Research & Resource Program (FARRP) on behalf of Celiac Sprue Association (CSA) and are verified to be gluten-free.
I did find out while cruising around their site that they have alot of new items since I last did a review for them and the most exciting thing was the thinning hair treatment system. I am so glad to see a natural way to help with thinning hair and  I would love to try this one some day. I have really bad thinning hair and even though I am using products to stop it, and yes, it has helped to some degree, but I still get small wads coming out every now and then. Of course, the products I use say that they don't work by stopping the hair from falling out but rather it encourages new hair to grow faster.

This is what Andalou says their system will do:

**Fortifies Hair Fibers against Split Ends
**Amplifies Hair Texture and Body
**Strengthens Strands to Reduce Breaks
**Conditions and Stimulates for Growth
**Actively Nourishes for Healthy Shine

It has a three part system that contains the shampoo, conditioner and scalp intensive treatment. Might just be worth looking into. The only thing I really use now is a lotion that I rub into the scalp after shampooing and using conditioner. That might be what they are called the scalp intensive treatment also. But I will check into it and compare the ingredients and see if Andalou's might be better for me.

Besides the products I just mentioned above they have hand soaps, hand lotions, body butters, facial moisturizers, clay masks, facial cleansers, facial toners, facial scrubs, facial night creams and day creams. The list could go on for quite awhile but I will leave it to you to go and explore and see all the wonderful products that they have to offer.

Here's a little something I found out about Andalou's Naturals under About Andalou's:

We carefully considered a name that would best reflect the inspired fusion of our brand, blending nature and knowledge with advanced science for skin care, hair care, and body care products that are simply good for you.

The word ‘Andalou’ [] has a rich, ancient history with connotations of ‘emergence’ and ‘path of light.’ Originally drawn from pre-Roman and ancient Arabic language, al-Andalus, means ‘Isle of Atlantis’ and is the French spelling for ‘Andalusia.’

Just as Andalusia is a geographic and cultural gateway between Europe and Africa, bridged between the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, Andalou Naturals is a gateway between the best of nature and knowledge and a bridge from farm to bottle and botany to beauty.

Similar to the complex, sumptuous history of Andalusia that has been woven from a montage of cultures across time; our formulas have been cultivated from a diverse portfolio of ancient botanicals and modern technology.

We love our name, not only for its rich history, but also because it’s simply beautiful, akin to our collection of natural and organic beauty products. We hope you agree.

If you love vanilla and a hint of citrus this is gonna be an awesome experience for you. Blogmania 2012  starts on April 25th and ends on April 30th. Open to the U.S.only. Good Luck!

Mary Bearden personally reviewed these products. I did not receive any monetary compensation for my review, just a sample product. All opinions are mine and belong to me solely. My thoughts and opinions may differ from yours. The photo's used in this review were taken from Mary Bearden's camera except for the last one came off of Andalou's Naturals site.

I've never heard of a Shower Gel that renews dormant cells - Awakening cells to behave like younger cells. That is cool and I will have to try this product. Thanks!
