I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Mom Blog Society. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Right now these little darlings are 2 GB and 4 GB, but they are in the process of making them 8 GB's, which will hold alot more memory. They started the Kickstarter program to help raise the money to invest in launching the 8 GB by March 16, 2012. They set their goal at $10,000 and it looks from the scoreboard they have surpassed that amount! You can keep tabs on the movement by clicking on the link I gave you above to see where they go from here. They are still accepting pledges and in return, you will get one of the 8 GB's when they are released. I believe the more you pledge, the higher the amount of units you get. All of that is explained on the Kickestarter page.
Wow, I just thought at first it was for computers and now look at all of this! Can you believe that 2 Babson College graduates came up with this idea? They will be the next computer genius's!
For more information it would be best to go to the FAQ section of their site and see if your questions are there and if you can get them answered.
I know some about computers but all of this is a little over my head and I would hate to tell you the wrong thing. Research it and decide if this is something you would be interested in. I don't think there will be any problems as it seems like a fabulous idea for school!
Here is what I found under the About Us:
The MoH Band™ was first conceived as a classroom project at Babson College in 2010. Andrew Kitzenberg, the founder of Memory on Hand, had lost numerous flash drives during his time at Babson. Regularly using them to backup papers and projects, there was usually a minor meltdown when one was lost. Realizing that many other students were having this same problem, Andrew conceived a new USB wristband that would be a fitting product solution. It was easy to keep track of and allowed him to always carry his important files on him. After playing around with the idea and testing designs Andrew saw the benefits of the MoH Band™ firsthand as he wore the initial prototype. At semester's end Andrew had completed delivery on his first sale and decided to pursue the business after graduating. Since graduating in May of 2010, Andrew partnered up with friend and classmate Jeff Brayer and together they have brought the MoH Band™ to students all over the country.
