Grateful Body Enzyme Cleanse Spotlight Review

It has been awhile since I have talked about Grateful Body and their products so it is nice to re-visit an old friend and company whose products are awesome because of their "greenness" and natural skincare qualities. This time they have given me a product called Enzyme Cleanse to review for my Spring Buzz Giveaway. This product will mildly exfoliate your face while cleaning it at the same time. It is made with raw, unfiltered, organic Apple Cider Vinegar and is made for normal to dry mature skin. So, if you are oily or acne prone, this is not for you!

This wasn't on sale when I got it to review but you are in luck. Regularly $24.00 you can now get it on sale. Buy Enzyme Cleanser for 20% off! Use code: SpringClean at checkout. If you have dry skin like I do, your face is gonna love this cleanser. It is light and does not dry out your skin and goes on smoothly and washes off really quick and easy. This is what Grateful Body says about the Enzyme Cleanse: "Our Cleansers never dry or strip the skin and are free from detergents, fragrances, foaming agents and sulfates."

Some of the ingredients in the cleanser include marigold, olive leaf, turmeric and rosemary. It is the marigold plus the turmeric that gives it that golden color. I know that turmeric helps fight inflammation because I am hearing more and more about it and what benefits it might have on RA and Fibromyalgia.

Grateful Body's products are handcrafted with 100% safe, beneficial, natural ingredients to protect, strengthen and beautify your skin. To use apply to wet skin and massage gently for a minute or so to improve circulation, skin function and skin tone. Then use a relaxed circular motion in a way that feels right and comfortable to you and then rinse and follow your normal routine which I hope includes a good serum and a night moisturizer. Daytime moisturizers really don't pack the wallop that you need at night. Night time is when your skin is rejuvenating and you need a serum or moisturizer or even both that helps your skin generate new and healthy skin cells.

I found this in Shannon's Journal and there is alot more there to read and I hope you take the time to read how her journey led her to make all these wonderful products to share with all of us:
Grateful Body was created in 1998. The name of the company is a reflection of my desire to be more grateful. Over the years I had started to see what an incredible and mysterious thing this body was, and how many phenomenal things it could do. How it healed itself, how it was a part of gaia, how full of life it was. And I had one! I was grateful to have a body! To eat with, to travel with, to love with, to understand with, to serve with - I became a grateful body (and no, the name had nothing to do with the Grateful Dead, even if we are based in Berkeley!).

Why do I make skin care? Something in my personal life called me to the field, even though at the time the beauty industry seemed like such an empty, insubstantial field; permeated with fluff and wild claims. Two of my sisters, young and beautiful, had died of cancer within a year of each other while I was in college. It was after many years of musing on the possible causes of this that it occurred to me that everyday, every morning, millions of woman were applying dangerous chemicals to their faces! Skin care! It seemed that Darth Vader couldn't have come up with a more effective method of spreading harm and suffering. But I knew that plants could help.

Over the years I learned to make healing botanical preparations that were designed to be absorbed through the skin. Mushrooms, fruit, veggies from our garden, herbs in the meadows, finding lichens and roots in the forests, the possibilities were grand. The Grateful Body team found women who had small gardens to grow our comfrey, yarrow and sage; we found intrepid wayfarers to ethically wild craft echinacea from Montana, chaparral from New Mexico, st. john's wort from the wine country in Northern California and witch hazel beside the forest paths in Vermont. We considered ourselves plant ambassadors and emissaries, servants of the magical botanical realm.
Grateful Body has so many products it would be hard to name them all and tell you what each one does. I can give you a short list of the ones I have tried and love to use beginning with the Midnight Oil for your body. I love this oil! It helps keep my skin soft and supple. I also use their Dry to Normal Toner. I love spraying that fine mist on my face and it really does need it because as soon as it hits my face I feel it evaporating into my skin!

And if you read my review on Aphrodite's Feast at Valentine's, you will know how much I really loved this product! It worked wonders for my skin. I have not tried the Eye Essential Cream but hope to sometime in the future as it sounds like it might be truly awesome. And guess what? It is also on sale! 20% off Essential Eye Creme - Use discount code: MYEYES

You won't go wrong with any of Grateful Bodies products. If you don't believe me, try reading some of the Testimonials from others who have tried it alot more than me! There is also a section called Grateful Bodies and I think it is another group of women telling you about their experience with the product. The difference is these woman have their pictures up and a little background information. They tell us how Grateful Body's products have helped them and how they incorporate it into their daily lives.
