Unusually Yours Hair Tie Bracelets Review

I have another new little shop to tell you about that is called Unusually Yours and she does all sorts of neat things like: hair ties, bracelets, scarves, bobby pins, rings and door accessories! Now, this is a new type of store called ArtFire and I really can't remember how in the heck I landed there one day but I did and I found all kinds of interesting shops and people. I really hate my camera because when it takes good pictures they are awesome but when it gets cranky, it can take some awful ones and the ones above do not do Karrie's ties justice.

They are very cute and have alot of stretch to them. I had specifically asked that they be plain because I am not a very fancy person and I sometimes fall asleep without realizing I do and I don't want something in my hair that is gonna hurt my head if I laid wrong. And I told her to send me anything she had in black or white. I know you hear me say this all the time, but, I wear alot of black & white so, it needed to be colors that I wear! What in the heck would I do with red? Nothing! These were easy to use and gave me no trouble while making my ponytail or taking it down. I hate it when some of my hair gets stuck and then I have to gently try to pull it off of a tie!

At least this picture has the color right finally! I wanted to show you the texture of the fabric also but even here it is not coming out 100% but you can see it has a little bit of a pattern and you can see how stretchy it can get. It is also very soft to the touch and it does have a slight shimmer to it which I liked because it gave it a little bit of flare so it wasn't so drab looking.

I also like them because they can be used on an adult or an older child around 8 up. It might work on a smaller child but you might have to wrap it a few times. I don't have small children so I could not test it out but asked Karrie and she said her 9 year old niece could wear them, so I know at least around that age would be fine.

When you land on her site off to the right hand side will be a Section List and you can click on that list to look at say, hair ties or rings, etc. So, if you don't want to look thru everything, you can go directly to whatever product it is that you want.

It looks like it works pretty similar to Etsy from what little bit I have been there. But what is different is that it acts more like a blog because you can follow her on FB, Pinterest, Twitter and G+ (if they have it)from there! So, that might become the "new" way to follow before long for artists.

I finally went over and copied a better picture of the ties and the colors that they are available in so that you can see the color better and hopefully these pictures look better than mine. I don't know how people come up with ideas like this and it makes me wonder why I can't do simple stuff like this but then if we all were crafty we probably wouldn't need each other, so I will stick to blogging and let the artist's do their work!

I also copied a quick picture of some bobby pins so that you can see how pretty those are. I don't use them because they get stuck in my hair and then I can't get them out. I have very wavy hair and bobby pins is the last thing I need!

Here is what Karrie says about her art work:
I love to spend lots of time creating and I love that Artfire provides a way for me to share my creations with you.

I love to crochet, sewing, making jewelry and making hair accessories! There are so many ideas I have, you will see lots of variety here in my studio, which I hope you like! I think of it as a one stop studio for all her accessories.

I wanted to show you one of the cute little rings that I thought a young girl or teen would love to have and it shows you another craft that Karrie has mastered:

I love those two colors together! Nothing says Spring like pale yellow and green. The rose on top is really cute and I love the filigree around the ring.

Please take some time to go and look around on Karrie's Artfire site along with following her on Pinterest and Facebook.
