Le Pampered Pig Sponsor Spotlight Review

I found this cute little place quite by accident one day while surfing around (that was awhile ago as I don't have time now) and I sent them an email asking about a Valentine's Review and she was so nice to say "Yes"! Have you heard of Le Pampered Pig? The name alone is so humorous and out of sight! And the picture of the pig all dressed up was really a great sale idea. I got to review some of their products and here is what I reviewed:

1. Lavendar Goat Milk
2. Satin Sow Sugar Scrub (Lavender Ginger)
3. Oinkment (Sunswine Citrus)
4. Silky Sow Smoothing Oil (Oinkmeal, Milk & Honey)
5. Several sample packs of Cream of the Trough

I have to tell you I am a big fan of Sugar Scrubs so I had to start there first! I also am a huge fan of Lavender and love the smells of calmness that it brings. I could not believe how smooth and soft my hands felt after rubbing the Satin Sow Sugar Scrub all over my hands and feet (gave myself a manicure/pedicure experience).

You definitely won't need any lotion after you try this! You will feel silky smooth just about like the name says.

And she was also right that you need to worry about any oily residue on your sink, tub or shower. You will be able to use this as much as you want without worry of leaving that telltale ring around the sink look.

It is probably not necessary but I run hot water for a few minutes to make sure it gets washed all away and not left stuck in the pipes.

I know, I am being paranoid, but I always say, it does not hurt to be careful.

Also, if you really want to double the luxury feeling, put on some of the Cream of the Trough Hand Cream to really make your hands soft. I only had a few samples to try but they sure did make my hands say Thanks!

Another product I love is Lavender in a Goat Milk Soap and when I found out that I was getting one I was over the moon! I love washing my hands in Lavender. It is the most clean, natural, awesome smell that there is in my book. It is a natural scent that is mild and anytime I happen to bring my hands up anywhere near my face I catch the slight whiff of Lavender and I am in awe of the power it has to stay on you for so long. I wonder if way back when the Ancient People used Lavender to smell good? Surely, they did. Lavender seems to have seeped into every culture as I see it everywhere I go now. I am not complaining. I am happy that Lavender has now made it's way into the spotlight.

I have always loved it. And Le Pampered Pig's is one of the best I have tried.
Next I tried the Silky Sow Smoothing Oil and I have to admit at first I wasn't too sure about putting an oil on my hands and body but it really does go on like a lotion, just as promised. It has so many nice and clean smells added to it that make it an instant hit with me and my husband who has really dry hands. It has vanilla, almonds, and fresh cream sweetened from wild mountain honey. That was a mouthful to say and write.

But, it is exactly what it smelled like! There is no mistaking the almond in that little bottle. It kinda reminded us of Christmas almost because I make these butter cookies with vanilla and almond extract and that combo made us think of those cookies. I did not get to make them this past year, just did not feel good, but hopefully this coming one. But, anyway, it reminded us of what we missed and it was a nice little surprise to have the Silky Sow Smoothing Oil there to help us remember some past Christmas's.

If you know of someone who has extremely dry or even moderate dry skin, these products will work wonders for them. My hands are starting to look a little more normal and my legs aren't so dry and cracked as they were in the beginning. Between the Satin Sow Sugar Scrub and this Smoothing Oil, I am starting to see some improvement. I am going to start using it on the heels of my feet and see if I can get those to look better also. At this point, anything is worth a try. Of course, there are so many other products on Le Pampered Pig's site to try if I need to.

Lastly, I would like to tell you about the Oinkment. It is in a tubelike cylinder sorta like some of the other foot balms I am sure you have seen around. This one however, is for anywhere, not just the feet!

Actually they call this the solid lotion but I have always thought of these products as balms but it doesn't matter, as long as you get results, who cares? This is the Oinkment Lotion and you can use it anywhere on the body where you have dry or cracked itchy skin. I am going to use this along with the Smoothing Oil like a one day off and one day the other product to see if I can get the heels of my feet to stop cracking.

I have always had this problem as I have gotten older, it has started to really become a problem. I had hoped I would bypass this one trait that runs in my father's side of the family, but I guess not.

So, I scout out products that look hopeful in the hopes that I will find something somewhere that will at least soften them up some. I can't stand to rub my feet together and feel the cracked skin scratching my other leg.

I haven't been doing it too long so I can't give you any results yet but it looks a little better after a few weeks. I do try to use the sugar scrub on them also to help exfoliate the skin and make the feet feel more smoother.

I am pretty confident I will find something here at Le Pampered Pig to help me end this worrisome site. I used to love to wear sandals but not this past year. I wore my sneakers more than anything but am hoping to go back to my sandals this year. You will love everything from this store if any of these products are a sign of what goodies she has left for me to find out about and you, too.

This is only a snippet from their About Us site, so please go read the rest of their story:
Our founder and Chief Formulator has a Bachelors degree in Biology and a Masters degree as a Physician Assistant (PA). As a PA she has an underlying understanding of skin physiology, the ability to select ingredients based on performance, efficacy, and safety profile. While working as a chemist for a major auto manufacturer it became evident that there were no suitable products available in the marketplace to adequately protect the skin from the harsh environment of a manufacturing facility other than mass-produced products that left an unpleasant greasy-waxy feel on the skin.

Drawing on her experience working in the manufacturing environment as well as having a medical background she created the products necessary for adequate and proper skin care and protection. The products worked so well that it was decided it would be a welcome addition to the public marketplace and the response has been overwhelming!

Le Pampered Pig has been so kind as to offer a bottle of Tenderloin's Body Butter, 10 oz. Sugar Scrub and a bar of soap for the Share the Love Valentine's Blog Hop Giveaway that starts on February 7th and ends on the 14th. Good Luck!

Couldn't help myself, it was so cute!
