Hoop-La Earrings Review & Giveaway **Closed**

I found a really cute little blog and Etsy shop recently and I wanted to share it with all of you guys! Mandy makes the most adorable earrings and even has these fantastic headbands that I fell in love with, so you gotta go check her out! As you can see from the name above it is called Hoop-La Earrings and once you see the earrings you will understand the name. She sent me these items to review:

1. The Swirl Earrings in Mustard
2. Ingrid Earrings in Aqua
3. Filigree Headband in Antique White

Aren't they gorgeous? I had a hard time choosing which color I wanted but finally settled on the Antique White because it would go with just about anything and because I wear alot of white and black clothing so it just made sense. I would have loved a purple but don't really wear that alot and I wanted to make sure I was able to wear this beautiful headband out for others to see. What I love the most about this headband is that it is not tight on my head. I don't know about you but if I get a headband that is too tight I get massive headaches or earaches and have to take it off within 3 hours of wearing. If I don't, by the time I do at the end of the day, the whole top of my head would hurt. But not with these, they are loose enough to be so comfortable but still keep your hair in place! I love them and hopefully will be able to get some other colors later on. Look at the detail she put into this, it had to take some time:

Then I tried The Swirl earrings in mustard and again, I was not disappointed with Hoop-La Earrings! I choose these earrings because they looked small and delicate. I know the style is to wear big and bold but I am not a young chicken anymore and don't look good in earrings that big! Well, I don't know if I ever really had earrings that were big, maybe medium? But I love the way they look on other women who can pull it off, especially I think women with long or shoulder length hair that is gorgeous and full. Some women are just born with it! Where have I heard that before? Here is the pair I got to review:
I tried to get my husband to take a picture of me wearing them but he is hopeless with the camera! All of them either came out blurry or he got my neck instead of the earrings. I asked him what was he looking at when he took that picture? I think he was paying attention to a game on T.V.!

So, I took this one myself while it was still hanging up so you get a good idea of what it looks like. I chose mustard because it resembles gold close enough to be worn with gold or just about any other color scheme. But she has several colors to choose from so you can get just about any color that is on her site. Also, have you noticed that the pieces are antique looking?

Mandy distresses it and then seals it to keep the color and to make them last a long time. She says because of that the metals sometimes show differently so one color may show more metal than another. But to me, that just means you get a unique set that is all yours! Then lastly, she said at the last minute she just threw in the Ingrid earrings because she wanted me to see how cool they were! I am so glad she sent Aqua because it truly is a beautiful color:

Now, when I first saw these on her site, I thought they looked a little too big for me. That is the reason I went with The Swirl and she must have thought that that was why I did not take a chance and get one of her more unique designs and she was right. I was afraid it would be too big, but, in fact, they were perfect! So, don't let the pictures fool you sometimes into thinking that something is bigger or smaller based on the picture. Try to see if they leave you a length, which she did, I just did not look, just assumed. You can see the distressed look even more in this design than The Swirl. These little babies come in any color also. Great thing about doing them yourself is that you can do whatever color someone needs.

Mandy has got alot of great looking earrings and I wish I had more space to show them to you but I have left links everywhere for you to go and check out her great earrings and headbands. I would love for you to show her some love by visiting her Etsy shop and heart her as a favorite. Also go check her out on her Facebook page and just say Hi! Her earrings are as lightweight as her headbands and I could not even tell I had them in. They are easy to put and take off and require no special maintenace, just a little love from you to keep them in a nice clean, dry place and you should have them for years to come. I think next time I might try a different pair and another headband in either Green or Turquoise I bet would be awesome!

Mandy has been so gracious to offer one reader her choice of any (2) items on her Etsy store! Thanks Mandy! And guess what? She says she will ship to Canada so you guys are included in this one along with the U.S.!
