Weight Watchers Ice Cream Products Review

I am not sure what motivated me to apply for the Weight Watcher's Ice Cream, but I sure am glad I did! Yes, I could stand to lose about 10-12 pounds, and yes, I know some are going to say that is not much but when you have been used to living at a certain weight and then put on those 12 pounds, it makes me feel awful!

Plus, I have had to have both knee's replaced and I think the extra weight is putting too much pressure on my knees and don't get me started on my lower back. As usual for a woman, we gain around our waist and hips and I think that is alot of my problem. So, I thought I would give Weight Watchers a try and see what happens.

Here are the varities that we got to try:

1. Giant Cookies & Cream (on sticks) this has 130 per piece
2. Chocolate Fudge (on sticks) this has 45 calories (these are snack sizes)
3. Ice Cream Candy Bar (like a snickers candy bar) this has 150 calories
4. Dark Chocolate Dulce de Leche (on a stick) has 120 calories a piece
5. Chocolate Dipped Strawberry (on a stick) has 100 calories per piece
6. Chocolate Dipped Raspberry (on a stick)has 80 calories per piece

Now, I have to tell you that the Ice Cream Candy Bar went pretty fast. Even my husband was wolfing them down and I waited until he had about 2 before I told him that they were Weight Watchers! He looked at me and said, "I don't care, as long as it tastes good"! Now, all this time I thought I would have a problem getting him to eat better and look what he does, turns it around on me!! Anyway, the Ice Cream Candy Bar tasted just like a snickers candy bar, no kidding. They had topped it off with some kind of peanuts or nuts so that is what gave it that special oomph factor.

My next favorite was the Dark Chocolate Dulce de Leche. Oh, it was rich in vanilla ice cream with ribbons of caramel going thru the vanilla and then half of the bar was dipped in dark chocolate to give you that caramel/chocolate taste with a hint of vanilla. This one is gonna be a keeper because it can satisfy a sweet tooth craving in no time. And here is something else I need to say, none of these ice cream sticks tasted like they were low in calories. They all tasted like the real deal. Even fooled my husband and that is saying alot because he does not believe in diet food.

He loves strawberry alot so he went ahead and tried that one for himself. I can take strawberry or leave it so I wanted him to have his own box of goodies so I chose the strawberry for him so I wouldn't eat it and because he loves it! Aren't I just the sweetest wife around? Anyway, he was really pleased and I am so glad because now I have something I can get him that he won't mind eating. As you can see from the top picture, they really don't look bad and they certainly don't taste bad either.

This is the snack size in the Chocolate Fudge Sticks:

I don't have a picutre of the Giant Cookies & Ice Cream Sticks is that I got them later than when I got the others above and by then my camera decided to be cranky. For some strange reason I could not find a picture on the web either. But I can decide it to you perfectly: it is a vanilla ice cream stick that is covered with pieces of oreo cookies! Now, if you like oreo cookies, you will love these!

The Ice Cream Candy Bar is similar to a Snickers bar and if you love Snickers, then you will most definitely love this baby. We ate this box in less than two weeks. I don't have a picture of this one either because I got it at the same time as the Giant Cookies & Cream sticks. I can tell you that the last two ice creams were my personal favorites. Now, the Chocolate Dipped Strawberry and the Dark Chocolate Dulce de Leche were my husband's favorites and the Chocolate Fudge Sticks were my granddaughter's favorite with the Chocolate Dipped Raspberry came in second.

We all agreed that every one of these are of top quality and if you follow the plans that Weight Watchers puts you on depending on your each individual needs, these awesome snacks should help you keep on track. I know everyone slips (I did alot) but now, with products like these, it is easier to grab something that is good for you and helps quell that craving for sweets!

Mary Bearden personally reviewed these products. I did not receive any monetary compensation for my review, just a sample product provided by Weight Watchers thru MomSelect. All opinions are mine and belong to me solely. My thoughts and opinions may differ from yours. The photo's used in this review were provided by me and my sometimes cranky camera!

Are these sugar-free, if so do they have aspartame or splenda (another name for apartame) in them. If so, they are not for me, I won't eat anything with that crap in them. My husband doesn't like any sugar substitute and if their is any high frutose corn syrup or any hydrogenated(sp?) oils, he won't touch it. It is hard to eat without all of these things that are bad for you. Too bad the FDA couldn't do it's job. Nice review though, I'm sorry I don't mean to be negative. I will be checking these out in the store and read the labels.
