Grateful Body Aphrodite's Feast Spotlight Review

I have told you about Grateful Body a few times in the past and they just keep coming out with such wonderful products and I have another one to tell you about today called Aphrodite's Feast!

First, let me explain that Aphrodite's Feast is a Restorative that will restore your skin to it's optimal health and health by increasing the necessary vitality to your skin cells. The ingredients in this wonderful serum has a list of botanicals and whole plant and phytonutrients that will give any type of skin all the support it needs to get back to it's optimal best.

Three of the most beneficial ingredients is Black Fig because it protects against free radicals and UV rays. There are hundreds of nutrients in Black Figs that can provide nutrients to the skin.

Another is Kudzu Root because the root contains useful isoflavones with anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. It makes the skin soft and smooth. Go figure, a plant that is invasive outside is one of our best skin nutrients! They say that the Chinese were one of the earliest people to use it for medicinal purposes.

Lastly there is Sassafras that can be used as a topical liniment & poultices for all kinds of skin problems. By stimulating circulation it has a draining congestion, resolving toxicosis and reducing eczema, sassafras is a power-packed nutritive botanical for supporting all varieties of complexions.

There is so much more I could say about Grateful Body but I have gone over and over it in several reviews. I can honestly say, I love these products. I love the smell, I love the way they go on and I love the way they feel. I know the difference between heavy creams that probably bog me down to these that are lighter and my skin just drinks them right up!

I took a small section out of the Journal and I wish you would go and read more about how this natural company got started and how it still to this day remains a small company that caters to real nature lovers and who understand the importance of the products that they carry:
Grateful Body was created in 1998. The name of the company is a reflection of my desire to be more grateful. Over the years I had started to see what an incredible and mysterious thing this body was, and how many phenomenal things it could do. How it healed itself, how it was a part of gaia, how full of life it was.
And I had one! I was grateful to have a body! To eat with, to travel with, to love with, to understand with, to serve with - I became a grateful body (and no, the name had nothing to do with the Grateful Dead, even if we are based in Berkeley!).

Why do I make skin care? Something in my personal life called me to the field, even though at the time the beauty industry seemed like such an empty, insubstantial field; permeated with fluff and wild claims. Two of my sisters, young and beautiful, had died of cancer within a year of each other while I was in college. It was after many years of musing on the possible causes of this that it occurred to me that everyday, every morning, millions of woman were applying dangerous chemicals to their faces! Skin care!
It seemed that Darth Vader couldn't have come up with a more effective method of spreading harm and suffering. But I knew that plants could help. Over the years I learned to make healing botanical preparations that were designed to be absorbed through the skin. Mushrooms, fruit, veggies from our garden, herbs in the meadows, finding lichens and roots in the forests, the possibilities were grand.
The Grateful Body team found women who had small gardens to grow our comfrey, yarrow and sage; we found intrepid wayfarers to ethically wildcraft echinacea from Montana, chaparral from New Mexico, st. john's wort from the wine country in Northern California and witch hazel beside the forest paths in Vermont. We considered ourselves plant ambassadors and emissaries, servants of the magical botanical realm.
You can read other people's testimonies after using Grateful Body and decide for yourself what you think of the product. You can also sign up for their newsletter to get updates for when something new comes up or they find out something interesting you might want to know about. Grateful Body has so many good products I could go on and on but one I know you will love is the Dry to Normal Toner that I have and I really do love it!

I also have the Midnight Oil which is a body oil for my poor dry skin! They also have eye creams, cleansers, moisturizers, tinted moisturizers and several treatments. Go and look around and see what you can find that you might like.

Grateful Body has been so very gracious as to let me have another Aphrodite's Feast to put in my From Our Hearts to Yours Valentine's Giveaway Package that starts on February 1st and will run to the 14th. Be sure to come back and enter. Good Luck!
