Sweetsation Therapy Jolisse Hand Treatment Spotlight Sponsor Review

I know everyone has heard me talk about this great organic company in the past and now I have a new product that they have just put out called Jolisse Organic Botanical Hand Treatment from Sweetsation Therapy! Now, wasn't that a mouthful to say! I have to tell you I have several products from them and all of them are awesome! If you are into organic products and haven't tried Sweetsation Therapy's products, you really need to! They are awesome and I have seen results with some of my most personal favorites and so will you. But for today, we will talk about the Hand Treatment.

Jolisse has a mild brightening action in it along with Vitamin C, CoQ10 and Caviar. Jolisse mostly works with those of us who need the therapeutic moisturizer for dry and cracked hands and nails. Have you been neglecting yours? I know I have and I could not believe how bad my hands were one day when I happened to take a picture of holding something and then went I downloaded the camera and set about to doing the review. When I saw the picure with me holding the product and could actually see the lines, the cracks and the way my nails looked, I about had a heart attack! I thought to myself, how in the heck had I not seen this sooner? I mean, really, the picture was pretty bad and so I got into some good light and really inspected my hands.

And who was my first thought who might be able to help me the most? Sweetsation Therapy! Like I said, I have been using a few other products here and there and they have really helped me so I knew if I wanted something to help my toughened up hands I needed the best. Like always, they were there for me. They have been so sweet and nice to me and sent me a bottle of the Jolisse Hand Treatment right away to try. It is starting to turn my hands around but if I don't do it religiously, it isn't going to help! So, after all the Valentine's stuff is over, I am buckling down and really attacking this problem. I am seeing results even from the here and there use, just imagine what I could accomplish if I did it more often? I am making myself a note to post again at the end of February to give you an update on my hands. But so far with just what I have used, I am seeing the cracking subside and the dryness getting better.

You are suppose to use this every single night and I have to admit I have skipped a few due to the deadlines of getting all of the Valentine's reviews done and forgot to do it a few nights here and there but after tonight I am back on a strict regime. I am taking back my hands and making them look nice and moist like they use to be. Even if your hand aren't real dry, it will work on them if they are itchy or overworked. I have noticed if I tend to not drink alot of water and with the winter months, my hands and body will itch more.

Sweetsation Therapy has a page on their site called Ingredients that has a list of all the organic plants and herbs that they use and when you click on the image of that plant it takes you to the page that will tell you what each plant/herb is best at and what benefits it will give you. I love that! I always know what is in my products from them and never have to guess or try to figure out what a word is or means. They even give you a list of the bad ingredients. Now, isn't that refreshing?
They have so many different products for your body and face for you to try and I have done a little out of all of them. They do work and they don't cost an arm and a leg to purchase. They are women and moms just like us and they try to do their best to bring us the best of the best. I would love for you to check them out.

Here is my famous About Us that I love to feature for my Sponsors:
Let me introduce myself as a founder of Sweetsation Therapy. My name is Natalia, and I am a new mom, who likes everything top of the line. But not top of the line prices. And since I was not born in the Trump family, I had to find a way to combine high quality and low prices at the same time. Even when I was pregnant for 9 months, I never left the house without wearing my jewelry, high heels and still managed to make those ugly maternity clothes look decent. So how did I get the idea to start Mommy and Baby (everyone really) skin care and accessory company?

Being way over 30 and just entering motherhood I was concerned with aging and other skin issues associated with pregnancy, just like any other woman. So one day, I lathered my usual age preventing night cream on my face before going to bed. At that point I believe I was 3 months along. It was one of those high end, smell good creams that promise to do all the miracles in the world to your face...... Next morning I received an email that notifies me every week what to look for and what to expect as your pregnancy progresses. It was in that fateful email I found out about all the harmful ingredients that are present in skin care products and should not be used during pregnancy and may harm the fetus inside you; to the point of deformities and brain damage. In a state of panic I rushed to the bathroom and frantically started reading all the labels on all my "pregnancy"creams and lotions that I was religiously putting on myself daily. Needless to say but all of them contained a "no-no" ingredient(s) that I just read about. Including a major 'no-no' like Retinol and Fragrances, aka phthalates.

Working in the cosmetic industry for 20 years, for a few major brands, I couldn't figure out WHY in the world it never crossed my mind before. At that point I thought, "Oh my God, I've harmed my baby......". I suppose, I don't have to mention that a state of panic was following me everywhere till the end of my pregnancy. That very morning I decided to put all my knowledge and experience to work and create my own skin care company that would design and manufacture everything a woman would need, whether regnant or not, to take care of her skin, being 20+ or 30+ or even 40+, applied using a daily regimen, and therefore protecting her health and well-being.

Sweetsation Therapy is being very generous by offering one of you your own Jolisse Hand Treatment in my From Our Hearts to Yours Valentine's Day Package that begins on February 1st! Good Luck!

Bella Viva Orchards Spotlight Sponsor Review

You are gonna love Bella Viva Orchards! I was sent this wonderful box of 5 different fruits and nuts covered in chocolate, called Chocolate Gift Pack to review for my Valentine's From Our Hearts to Yours Gift Package that starts on the 1st of February! In the package was this tempting morsels to try:

1. Chocolate Covered Almonds
2. Chocolate Covered Grapes
3. Chocolate Covered Cherries
4. Chocolate Covered Peaches
5. Chocolate Covered Apricots

Oh, Gosh, where to start? Well, I will start with Mike's favorites because I have never seen a man eat a bag of anything that quick! He attacked those Chocolate Covered Grapes like he was a man on a mission or hadn't eaten in a week! I have to admit they were awesome but I think he was definitely in heaven with those grapes! If you love Chocolate Covered Raisins, then this one is gonna knock the Raisins right out of the ballpark! These are really made with such a rich but not too sweet chocolate that you really do taste the grapes. They know just how to cover them just enough so that it does not drown out the flavor of the grapes! Kudos to Bella Viva for accomplishing that because some companies drown their raisins or grapes in so much chocolate that really, that is all that you do taste!
Mike's next favorite was the Chocolate Covered Almonds and I have to admit I loved them, too! I have always loved Almonds and can pretty much eat them anyway they are made or anything that they are added to, so it was no big surprise to me. Of course, I have gotten ahold of some that tasted pretty bland and some were down right awful but Bella Viva Orchards are nice and fresh and just are totally the bomb! They use Premium California Almonds and dip them in savory milk chocolate then topped with a rich chocolate. Does that not sound like pure chocolate heaven? Mmm, we are still working on those, trying not to be pigs and eat everything all at once! But it is hard. We keep eyeing that bag like we are food starved addicts to the point where I had to put it up and dole out the precious things like a soldier on K rations! God, my Dad would be proud of me for using that Army term! And believe me, I have had my share of K rations! Course, I was just a child but to a child they tasted pretty darn good.
I will have to tell you though that my absolute favorite was the Peaches! Now, I know you are gonna say it is because I am from Georgia and we are a Peach State and all that, but the truth is, they really are fantastic, wherever they got the Peaches! Now, do keep in mind that these are dried fruits so they are gonna be a little more firmer than a fruit you would eat from a produce department. For those of you who do eat dried fruit, you already know what I am talking about. Okay, just went and checked and they are grown in Bella Viva's own Orchards out there in California! So, looks like another state has a good eye for making great Peaches. They do these about the same way they do the Raisins, first the savory milk chocolate then a peach colored chocolate is put on top of that! If you are a peach lover, then this is the one for you!
I don't think I am gonna have enough room to show you all of the fruit but from my descriptions, I think you will get a pretty good idea of what I am talking about. From the three that I have shown you get a pretty good idea of how the Chocolate Covered Apricots and Cherries will look. I was also very impressed with the Chocolate Apricots. They are similar to Peaches but are just a tad more firmer than Peaches tend to be when dried. But, because I love both of them, I had no trouble finishing off the bag of Peaches and moving on to the Apricots! The Apricots are also grown in Bella Viva Orchard's just as all the fruits are. Only difference in the two is that the Apricots are covered in a chocolate similar to the color of Apricots. Almost the same but with just a hint of a slight different color. But, they truly are awesome!

Finally, the Chocolate Covered Bing Cherries! At first I thought maybe this would be Mike's first choice because when I first met him he loved those that you buy in the grocery store and would always ask for them at holidays. These are nothing like those cherries. The chocolate covered cherries sold in stores always have that slightly runny stuff coming out of them whereas these do not. They are truly a dried Bing Cherry swallowed in rich milk chocolate then topped with a cherry colored rich chocolate. Now, while these are very good, they were the last ones I tried. I guess it was that fear that they would be like the ones that have stuff running out of them but these absolutely do not! So, I was surprised and happy when I could say pretty darn good, Bella Viva for taking a fruit I used to hate to one I wouldn't mind having more of. Guess what? I did have a little room to show you the Bing Cherries!
All of these fruits can come in 8 oz bags, 12 oz jars, 1 or 2 pound trays or 60 oz tins! You can also get the nuts and fruits mixed together in tins and trays. The other Chocolate Nut that I did not get to try was the Walnuts. So, if you prefer Walnuts over Almonds, then you can also get those. And then lastly, there is the 5 bags in the gift box that I got to try. So, there is a wide range of different options for you to choose from.

Bella Viva Orchards also offer Fresh Fruits in boxes which will have either Peaches or Persimmons! You can either get them by themselves or in a mixed box if you so choose. They also have a Fruits & Nuts Trail Mix that you can order if you like that instead of the Chocolate Covered Fruits & Nuts. Then lastly, you can get all kinds of Dried Fruits from Bella Viva Orchards! I am not even going to try and tell you all about them so I left you the link to follow. There are over 79 kinds of Dried Fruit and that will give you something to research on your own. I think though, if I went that route, I would do the Mixed Dried Fruit so that I could get a little of all or at least most of all.

Here is what I found under About Us:

L'occitane Fragrances Sponsor Spotlight Review

I have a great company that I am going to love telling you about called L'OCCITANE, that I have heard about over the years and may have tried their hand lotions a few times but never really gave it much thought until recently I found all that they have a whole line of skincare and bath & body products as well as wonderful smelling perfumes! Where in the world have I been? I guess locked in my own little world lately and before that, I worked all the time and barely had time to take care of myself. Now, I am trying to make up for that a little here and there. Just hope it isn't too late! I was sent 2 wonderful fragrances to review:

1. Cherry Blossom Eau de Toilette
2. Lavender Eau de Cologne

Oh, my goodness! When I opened up that package and saw the two of them in there I just about freaked! Lavender is my all time favorite everything and the Cherry Blossom is also so out of this world awesome! I will start by telling you about the Cherry Blossom first, although it pretty much is self explanatory. It does smell like Cherry Blossoms and reminds me of spring and being clean and fresh! From what I understand France has alot of Cherry Trees and the landscape changes into light pink cherry blossoms in the spring when they are all blooming. I actually know a little bit about that since we have several Yoshino Cherry Trees and 3 Cherry Kwanza Trees in our yard and every spring they bloom like clockwork! Only thing is that those blossoms create a mess if you don't get them up before it rains. Once it rains it pacts it down like a hard rug and smothers out my plants underneath if I don't stay on my toes! We learned that the hard way the first two years. But, the smell is light, sweet and clean! You will love this fragrance as much as I do. It also comes in a hand lotion, body lotion, body wash and soap.

Next, I got to try the Lavender Cologne and it is one of my very personal favorites! I thought I would give you a touch of history about Lavender and why L'occitane uses it alot:
L'OCCITANE uses lavender that is exclusively sourced from farmers' cooperatives on the Plateau de Sault in Haute-Provence. Our lavender products include luxurious body care and home fragrances emanating scents that capture the soul of Provence to calm and soothe the body and mind. The new, unique design of this relaxing collection, with its clean and simple lines, is based on an interpretation of the estagnon bottle. This metal bottle was traditionally used to hold fragrant essences. In addition to this, the expertise of lavender producers from Haute-Provence is now protected on a European level by the Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O) label, which guarantees the exceptional quality and the traceability of the essential oil.

The Lavender Cologne is so light and breezy with a hint of a woodsy, musky and citrus undertones. It is slightly different than what I am used to smelling because Lavender is so good all on it's own. But, everyone tries to improve on it so you have people mixing it up with vanilla, chamomile, all sorts of other scents. So, no, this is not your traditional Lavender, but all the same, I still loved it! I have so many Lavender products now I did not want to get something that smelled exactly like the others so this was a nice surprise. From what I read on their site from the reviews alot of people who used to use the original are pretty upset. Well, I never tried the original so I don't know about that. I only know that this one smells wonderful. I can understand when you are used to something and they change it and it is nothing like you used to know, it can be upsetting. But, if you are like me, I had an open mind because I had never used the original so my mind was open to the possibilities.

One thing is for sure, they don't believe in sending small tiny samples for you to try! This bottle of Lavender Colgne is pretty darn big! It will take me forever to use all of that! This one also comes in hand lotion, body lotion, soaps and body washes, bath salts and candles among a few. I guess what I am saying if you can get used to Lavender Vanilla or Lavender Chamomile then a citrusy like Lavender is really not that much different. It smells mainly of Lavender (I really would not have known about the citrus undertones if I had not read it because all I smelled was Lavender) I would buy this again if I had the opportunity. It truly is a nice clean and bewitching scent. I played around with both and then some others that I already had and my husband could not really tell that much of a difference. He thought they all smelled great!

Wow, now here is a boss everyone would want to have. I found this under the Founder information on the website:
"It only takes a few words to say what really matters," writes Paul Eluard. "So, to put it simply, I'd like to say THANK YOU!"

AT L'OCCITANE we always encourage our people to follow their dreams and many of our employees volunteer to work on life-changing projects in communities far and wide. For the past two years our staff have been travelling to West Africa to teach the L'OCCITANE way of making soap to women in the Burkina Faso co-operative, where our pure shea butter is made. In New York many of our employees have given time to help visually-impaired children. Back in Europe we've been working with our producers and distillers in Corsica to continue with our cultivation of the exquisite Immortelle flower. Thank you to all our extraordinary producers, men and women who continue to teach me so much since the earliest days at L'OCCITANE.
Sounds like a great company to me. You really need to go to the About Us page and learn more about this amazing man. There was so much there I can't possibly print it all but it is nice to know that good people and good companies still do exist out there.

Another great reason you might want to celebrate the people at L'occitane is that you will be receiving the same two products I reviewed in my From Our Hearts to Yours Valentine's Day Package that starts on February 1st and ends on the 14th. Good Luck to Everyone!

San Francisco Sensual Silk Bath Salts Sponsor Review

Oh, how I love to feel silky smooth and smell just as good! San Francisco Bath Salts has come up with another winner for Valentine's called Valentine's Bath Salts and it comes in 3 scents scents but I got to try was the Sensual Silk. The other two are called Pure Passion and Be My Valentine. Sensual Silk has a nice clean smell just like cotton and that is actually what they call the scent, Island Cotton. San Francisco Bath Salts were so very nice as to send me a 2 pound bag of the Sensual Sink bath salts and there is enough in there to last a good while.

Right now San Francisco Bath Salts is giving my readers a 5% off coupon to use online and use the code: cupoftea.

So, if you were thinking of getting something here that really does good quality bath salts, then look no further. You have to be a first time customer and it can only be used once so make sure you are ready to check out then try another transaction.

Another use for bath salts is for skin softening, general muscle relaxing, and to soothe aches and pains and it can do so much more! It can ease your stress and cause you to relax and enjoy just being pampered and feeling great! I love to feel my baby soft skin after soaking with this wonderful bath salt. I have a chronic bladder condition so I can't take baths but what I do do is allow myself to get really wet in the shower and then take some bath salts and mix with an unscented body wash and use it that way as a butter sorta.

But what I do do is use them for foot soaks and man, do my feet love getting those. It is like a manicure/pedicure that you give yourself in the comfort of your bathroom and wrapped in a nice soft robe I will sometimes read or use the time to apply my facial serums and such while waiting for my feet to feel wonderful!

While I was on their website I found out that they carry more than just bath salts! They have body scrubs and I found one that I would have loved to have called Moon Dreams with Lavender and Chamomile and is made with shea butter. Oh, my, I could have really used that wonderful combination on my really dry skin!  I am a huge fan of body scrubs along with facial scrubs. They have a huge selection of body scrubs to choose from like a brown sugar body scrub, almond oil salt scrub, white sugar scrub and a himalayan salt scrub.  They even have dead sea muds which can be used on the face along with the body or hair.

I also found that they have Gourmet Salts that you actually use on foods or when cooking! Now, who would have thought that? I found that they have 4 oz chic jars, 8 oz chef jars along with shakers which most of us usually buy at the grocery store. But this really opened my eyes to a whole new realm of what this company sells. Who would have thought that  a bath salt company would also have products that you can use in the kitchen?  They also carry an accessories line which includes a salt grinder (who would have thought you would need a grinder for salt)? Not, me!

They also have bamboo jars, glass jars with spoons, Himalayan Salt Lick and Himalayan Salt Block! Now, I was really curious as to what the heck do you do with salt licks and salt blocks? Me, being curious, just had to know so I read a little and here is what I found out.  The blocks can be used to put appetizers on to make it look prettier and you can freeze them to put desserts on! Now, I am not 100% sure how all this works but I am amazed that you would put dessert on a frozen piece of salt!

San Francisco Bath Salts believes in great Customer Care & Premium Quality:
We believe a truly great company is formed around quality. The quality of products, quality of customer support, quality of relationships, and quality of satisfaction. Here at the San Francisco Salt Company, we are committed to quality and improving our company, products and customer service to no end. We know that the economy and trends are ever-changing and we strive to constantly make improvements to better suite the needs of the current times and YOU, our customer. Now more than ever, this means offering affordable products with the lowest possible shipping rates while evolving our line of products towards more natural, organic and eco-friendly options.
Last time I reviewed their Lavender Sleep Bath Salts and man, they were amazing! I am somewhat of a lavender scent freak so anything with Lavender in it will probably catch my eye but these were truly some of the best I have ever tried. And so will you if you decide to use your 5% discount code and try some out!
I hope you check them out because San Francisco Bath Salts has been so gracious to give one winner their own 2 pound bag of the same Sensual Silk bath salts that I got to try! So go look around because I may be asking you some questions on the From Our Hearts to Yours Valentine's Day Giveaway package that starts on February 1st and ends on the 14th! Good Luck!

Libre Tea Glass & Ming Mei Tea Sponsor Review

I have been using my Libre Large Tea glass for quite awhile now but now I have a smaller one which they say is the Original Libre Glass. I love it because some days I just don't feel like drinking as much. The great folks at Libre Tea have been so nice to send me the smaller glass to review and a package of Ming Mei loose tea to use in the glass.

Both glasses are so easy to use and they have included instructions for you if you need a little help. The bag of Ming Mei will have 15 individual tea bags in the bag that they let me review and will also be the same bag that my winner will win in the From Our Hearts to Yours Valentine's Day Giveaway that starts on the 1st and ends on the 14th.

Ming Mei tea is one of the 30 top Chinese Teas and it is a green tea and you are gonna love it!

The Libre glass ’n poly Original has a health-conscious glass interior for fresh taste and a durable polycarbonate exterior for ‘on the go’ practicality. The stainless steel tea filter is surrounded by BPA free polypropylene as is the lid interior. Can be used 2 ways to brew and travel with loose leaf tea. I like that this size is easier to fit into my handbag and in the cup holder of my car! Oh, and it is alot easier to fit into yours or your children's back packs. You all can have fresh tea while you take a quick break while hiking and enjoy whatever flavor of tea you like the best right out there with nature!
Each Original glass has these requirements:

1.Volume: 260mL
2.Size: approximately 7.5" tall, 2.5" diameter
3.Materials: glass, BPA free polycarbonate, stainless steel

The third cup or glass is the only one that I have not tried yet and that is the Libre Tea Mug. I think if I ever do another review, I would love to try them. The difference in the mug is that it has handle on one side to hold just like a coffee cup. I am wondering if that would fit in my handbag also? The handle might be the only problem that I can see. It would be kinda cool to have a see thru mug to drink out of! I also love that you can buy the finer filters now that are better at holding the smaller bits from rooibos and herbal teas. That has been my only problem and looks like now they have solved that by making the finer filter! Alright! No more little pieces floating around in my cup of tea anymore!

Found a little history in the About Us about how Libre Tea was born:
Thanks for being curious! Libre tea glasses are brought to you by Energetic Marketing – we are committed to sustainable people and planet practices, excellent customer service and engaging tea moments for all to enjoy and relax with.

My journey began in 2006 when I visited China and enjoyed many tea tastings. I traveled to many gardens and temples and loved all the opportunities for tea moments.

Tea, for me, is symbolic of an ancient ritual celebrating the secular as sacred. It is a space to take a breath, reconnect with oneself and the world. It is a time to stop — to enjoy life, people and the planet and remember the joys that life has to offer.

Inspiring tea moments - anytime, anywhere - is my mission. I welcome any comments or ideas, and value your input to give these tea moments shape and meaning.

Our company started in 1999 and began enjoying tea moments with Libre in 2008. We are proud to be a 100% wholly owned Canadian company and so appreciate this opportunity to share the convenient and beautiful Libre tea glasses with you and your customers.
You can use this locator to find out if there is a store near you that sells the Libre Tea products if you don't like ordering online. I know some people are still squeamish about it and that's okay. Just check out the locator and see if you can find a place near you to go and look them over. You can also become a fan on Facebook to keep up with what all is going on with Libre Tea. And lastly, you can view a video on YouTube if you need help with any of your Libre products.

As I said in the beginning, you will see the Original Libre Glass and a bag of 15 individual loose leaf Ming Tea bags in the giveaway, From Our Hearts to Yours Valentine's Giveaway/Blog Hop. Good Luck!

The Protein Bakery Cookie's & Brownie's Spotlight Review

There is this really awesome bakery company called The Protein Bakery that I am going to tell you about today and it is going to make you want to get at least one or two things from them! Here is what we got to review:

1. (1) Oatmeal & Cranberry Cookies (2 in a pack)
2. (1) Chocolate Chocolate White Chip Cookies (2 in a pack)
3. (1) Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies (2 in a pack)
4. (1) Colossal Trail Mix Cookie
5. (1) Colossal Peanut Butter Peanut Butter Chip Cookie
6. (1) Chocolate Chip Blondie Brownie
7. (1) Walnut Brownie
8. (1) Peanut Butter Brownie

Wow, they were all really good! What surprised me the most was the Colossal Trail Mix Cookie. It has a blend of whey protein, rolled oats, dried fruits, nuts, seeds, coconut, and fresh cinnamon. I really liked it and look at all the fiber that was in that cookie! My doctors are always on to me about my fiber take so while I was eating these cookies, I got plenty of fiber!

I know you can't tell from this picture but the Colossal Cookies really are huge! Depending on what time of day it was, I would have to cut it in half because I could not eat the whole thing. Now, if I skipped breakfast which I do quite often, then yeah, before lunch I could eat a whole Colossal Cookie by myself. The other Colossal Cookie that I really liked was the Peanut Butter cookies, both small and large.

They were actually alot more moist than I thought they would be. Sometimes, when I have tried protein cookies or bars, they are often a little on the dry side but these were actually good. I even threw them in the microwave for a few minutes to make them warm and soft. Boy, they are really good that way!

Look at the chips in that brownie! Now, on those, I really did have to eat them in several different times. They were nice and moist but all those chips made it a touch sweet so I had to cut the brownies into three sections and then it was perfect for me. Plus, it will fill out up real quick if you are not careful! My husband liked the Peanut Butter Brownie the best but mine was the Chocolate Chip and then the Walnut Brownie.

The Protein Bakery makes so much more than what I talked about here as far as flavors. You can buy the cookies in singles, tins, gift boxes and gift bags. The tins almost look like coffee cans but they are all silver with The Protein Bakery label on them. You could use it for coffee storage later when you are done.

Here is a quote from The Protein Bakery's site on how they feel about their baked goods:
Experience our "cookies with muscle"—the perfect balance of lean, mean protein and big, bountiful taste. We're serving up wheat-free, delicious gourmet cookie combination's, 24/7. Everything is always fresh and there's no waiting.

We achieve our unique (and tasty) balance by substituting white flour with rolled oats, which means we're wheat-free (common allergen)and rich in dietary fiber. We use whey protein isolate that is rich in essential acids and helps to maintain a lean body mass for optimal health. Because we want to keep those muscles working smoothly we pack an extra 4 to 6 grams of protein per cookie. In addition, each scrumptious treat has absolutely no trans-fat and low in Gluten! So, we have your attention now, right?

In our kitchen, we never, ever compromise on quality. Providing you with a smart indulgence matters just as much as delivering a healthy snack alternative. (Balance!) That's home-baked, wheat-free wholesomeness you're looking at. (And about to order.) So long, cardboard taste!
No matter what you choose whether from the cookies to the brownies, you won't go wrong. I don't think they have any flavor of cookie or brownie that I saw on their site that I would turn away from! But then, I have always been a brownie freak and I have to admit I love cookies, too! It is my one weakness. I can pass up cake or pie but there is just something about being able to grab and run with a brownie or cookie that you can't do with the cakes or pies! Anyway, they have lots of great comments from all walks of people and you can read some of them by clicking on the taste-tamonials on the main page.

Found this little bit of info on the About Us page:
When I started teaching fitness in San Francisco, my life was outof balance. My weight was up, my spirits were down, and as a result, everything else-career, relationships, life-was flat lining. Getting fitgot me in touch with my body and taught me how balance impacts performance& health. 82 pounds lighter and healthier, I moved to New York City in 1997 to continue my career helping others. Working as a group fitness instructor and former program director in the city's top gyms was the perfect challenge. (That's a lot of body types, people!)

Dale & Thomas Popcorn Valentine's Day Sampler Bags Spotlight Review

I know most of you remember I just did a review on Dale and Thomas popcorn for Christmas but this one is even better. The one for Christmas was only six sampler bags and this one is going to be the Valentine's Day 12 Sampler bags! And even better news is that it regularly sells for $49.95 but it is marked down to $34.95 right now! Here is a list of all the flavors you will get:

- Peanut Butter & White Chocolate DrizzleCorn
- Twice-As-Nice Chocolate DrizzleCorn
- Chocolate Chunk N'Caramel
- Black & White Biscotti
- Double Chocolate DrizzleCorn
- Dark Fudge with Praline Almonds
- Dale's Caramel
- Cinnamon Creme DrizzleCorn
- Summertime BBQ
- Hall of Fame Kettle Corn
- Southwest Cheddar Chipotle
- North Country Cheddar

There are alot of flavors we did not get to try so I can't tell you about those but the other six were awesome so I bet these other six are just as great! I did not get to try the Summertime BBQ but I bet my husband would have loved that one! BBQ Potato Chips is his all time favorite so I know anything with BBQ on it would have been a hit. I also did not try the Cinnamon Creme Drizzle and that one is the one I would have probably loved! I am a freak about cinnamon anything. I eat cinnamon cereal sometimes twice a day. I have a sensitive stomach and for some reason cinnamon just seems to help me digest food better so I will even eat the Cinnamon Chex for dinner if I have to.

Another one we did not try was the Dark Fudge with Praline Almonds but it sounds almost sinful! I have had pralines before and to mix it with dark fudge popcorn must be really something. Like I said the six that we tried at Christmas were really out of this world so I bet all of these will be awesome. Whoever wins my From Our Hearts to Your Hearts Giveaway will have to come back and tell me all about it!
This is a picture of the Dark Fudge with Praline Almonds. What do you think? Looks pretty good to me!
And this one is the Cinnamon Creme Drizzle I was talking about. Just thought I would tempt you a little! Gotta have a little fun with it getting this close to Valentine's Day, don't ya think?

Here is what Dale and Thomas say about their popcorn:

Grateful Body Aphrodite's Feast Spotlight Review

I have told you about Grateful Body a few times in the past and they just keep coming out with such wonderful products and I have another one to tell you about today called Aphrodite's Feast!

First, let me explain that Aphrodite's Feast is a Restorative that will restore your skin to it's optimal health and health by increasing the necessary vitality to your skin cells. The ingredients in this wonderful serum has a list of botanicals and whole plant and phytonutrients that will give any type of skin all the support it needs to get back to it's optimal best.

Three of the most beneficial ingredients is Black Fig because it protects against free radicals and UV rays. There are hundreds of nutrients in Black Figs that can provide nutrients to the skin.

Another is Kudzu Root because the root contains useful isoflavones with anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. It makes the skin soft and smooth. Go figure, a plant that is invasive outside is one of our best skin nutrients! They say that the Chinese were one of the earliest people to use it for medicinal purposes.

Lastly there is Sassafras that can be used as a topical liniment & poultices for all kinds of skin problems. By stimulating circulation it has a draining congestion, resolving toxicosis and reducing eczema, sassafras is a power-packed nutritive botanical for supporting all varieties of complexions.

There is so much more I could say about Grateful Body but I have gone over and over it in several reviews. I can honestly say, I love these products. I love the smell, I love the way they go on and I love the way they feel. I know the difference between heavy creams that probably bog me down to these that are lighter and my skin just drinks them right up!

I took a small section out of the Journal and I wish you would go and read more about how this natural company got started and how it still to this day remains a small company that caters to real nature lovers and who understand the importance of the products that they carry:
Grateful Body was created in 1998. The name of the company is a reflection of my desire to be more grateful. Over the years I had started to see what an incredible and mysterious thing this body was, and how many phenomenal things it could do. How it healed itself, how it was a part of gaia, how full of life it was.
And I had one! I was grateful to have a body! To eat with, to travel with, to love with, to understand with, to serve with - I became a grateful body (and no, the name had nothing to do with the Grateful Dead, even if we are based in Berkeley!).

Why do I make skin care? Something in my personal life called me to the field, even though at the time the beauty industry seemed like such an empty, insubstantial field; permeated with fluff and wild claims. Two of my sisters, young and beautiful, had died of cancer within a year of each other while I was in college. It was after many years of musing on the possible causes of this that it occurred to me that everyday, every morning, millions of woman were applying dangerous chemicals to their faces! Skin care!
It seemed that Darth Vader couldn't have come up with a more effective method of spreading harm and suffering. But I knew that plants could help. Over the years I learned to make healing botanical preparations that were designed to be absorbed through the skin. Mushrooms, fruit, veggies from our garden, herbs in the meadows, finding lichens and roots in the forests, the possibilities were grand.
The Grateful Body team found women who had small gardens to grow our comfrey, yarrow and sage; we found intrepid wayfarers to ethically wildcraft echinacea from Montana, chaparral from New Mexico, st. john's wort from the wine country in Northern California and witch hazel beside the forest paths in Vermont. We considered ourselves plant ambassadors and emissaries, servants of the magical botanical realm.
You can read other people's testimonies after using Grateful Body and decide for yourself what you think of the product. You can also sign up for their newsletter to get updates for when something new comes up or they find out something interesting you might want to know about. Grateful Body has so many good products I could go on and on but one I know you will love is the Dry to Normal Toner that I have and I really do love it!

I also have the Midnight Oil which is a body oil for my poor dry skin! They also have eye creams, cleansers, moisturizers, tinted moisturizers and several treatments. Go and look around and see what you can find that you might like.

Grateful Body has been so very gracious as to let me have another Aphrodite's Feast to put in my From Our Hearts to Yours Valentine's Giveaway Package that starts on February 1st and will run to the 14th. Be sure to come back and enter. Good Luck!

Also right now Grateful Body is having a sale:

GlassesUSA Review

I was able to review a really great eye glass company recently called GlassesUSA.com and I was really impressed with the speed and accuracy of getting my really pretty new glasses! I have trouble seeing things further away like driving a car and trying to watch TV so I like to have really nice glasses to wear because I hate looking dumb in glasses out in public! I picked the Estelle ones because they were all plastic which is very lightweight and because they are the right color for me and I loved the style! I already had some glasses but they are the ones that have those nose things on each side of my nose and they leave indentions and I have to keep taking them off because they hurt after awhile. So, I wanted to go back to the plastic and boy what a difference!

I also took advantage of a special deal that GlassesUSA.com have and that is for a package deal that includes anti-glare, scratch resistant and UV protection for $15.00! The Estelle frames were only $48 and so my total amount for my prescription glasses was around $78! I mean, really, where else could you have gotten all of that? It is a little hard to tell from my picture but the frames are a light brown and on the sides of the frames is a little gold that gives it a little bit of a glamour look.

I loved that my new glasses came in a nice black case and had a cleaning cloth inside along with the glass. Most places I have been to want to charge me for that cleaning cloth but not at GlassesUSA.com! I also love that they have polished lens edges and they offer 100% satisfaction guaranteed! Now that is what you want in eyeglasses that you have to wear alot.

I noticed today when I was on their site to get information to write about that they have a special going on which is 20% off and Free Shipping when you buy glasses that cost over $80!
You will need to use the code FS20 to get the discount and free shipping. You can also take 10% off any order of any order and the code for that one is Blog10. They also have a great program that for every friend that you refer to them you will get a $30 credit in your account to be used for the next time you need to buy glasses. Now, who else do you know that does that?

The other neat thing I saw was that they have a virtual mirror that you can go on that allows you to "try on" your glasses before you buy them. I like that idea because let's face it, not every pair of glasses that we like will actually look good on us for one reason or another so I am glad that I can take my time in picking a pair then you can send them to a "friend" to look over and see what their opinion is of the new glasses so that you have a second pair of eyes helping you pick the right look that is all you.

They have so many kinds of frames to choose from that I don't think you will have a problem finging a good fit for your particular needs. They even have sunglasses you can get there with your prescription put into the lens so that you don't have to wear contacts and eye glasses at the same time. You can even get Multifocal Glases and of course, Men's Glasses too!

You can keep up with Glassesusa.com in several ways:

Follow them on Facebook
Follow on Twitter
They even have a YouTube Channel you can watch!
You can subscribe to them thru RSS Feed and lastly you can catch them on their blog.

If you have any problems with an order don't hesitate to call, write or email them as they want you to have a pleasant experience so that you will keep on coming back over the years. Oh, and just so you know, they also have Gift Certificates you and get for anyone who needs glasses and you don't know what their prescription is, so all you have to do is give them the certificate and just watch them have tons of fun deciding what to buy!

Spoonful of Comfort Review & Giveaway **Closed**

I gotta tell you even though this is my second time getting to enjoy Spoonful of Comfort Chicken Noodle Soup and all the other goodies that come with it, I have enjoyed myself immensely! The only different thing we did this time was change the cookies from the Oatmeal Raisin to the Chocolate Chip in honor of Valentine's Day.

Otherwise, I would have opted for the Oatmeal Raisin again. Don't get me wrong, the Chocolate Chip were beyond awesome also, but the Oatmeal Raisin are in a class by themselves. My husband has never ever ate an Oatmeal Raisin cookie until he tried theirs and now he won't shut up about them! Or maybe it is old age setting in?

Doesn't matter because every last crumb is gone, every drop of soup has been consumed and every piece of those magnificent rolls has vanished! Just so you know, there are no preservatives or additives added to this soup and it does come frozen so you will need to let it unthaw in the fridge for about a day. The ingrediants in the soup are: Chicken stock, pulled all natural chicken, noodles, carrots, celery, onion, sage, parsley and sea salt. And of course their special brand of homemade comfort!

We keep these rolls in the fridge to make sure that they last (although they go pretty quick) but still, I just did not want to take any chances. Then when we are ready to eat some soup I will take out 2 or 3 rolls and heat them up in the oven and slit them just a little and put some butter in that little hole and man, those are some of the best rolls I have ever eaten! We like them a little crunchy so I probably leave them in there a little longer than most people but I love the sound of that first big crunch when you bite into those yummy rolls! I gotta try and figure out what they do that makes those rolls so special!

Do any of you know? Wanna spill the beans? They give you a bag that has 6 rolls in in and they are made from scratch. And they are pretty good sized ones at that! After eating a bowl of soup and one roll we have to wait a little while to eat a cookie to let it all settle down but gosh, it sure is worth it! I have never had a problem and doubt that you will either but it is nice to know that if you have any problems this is Spoonful of Comfort's guarantee:
We guarantee your complete satisfaction. If for any reason you are dissatisfied, please call and we will assist you with a prompt exchange, refund, or credit. Call us at 877-404-7678.
Now, look at how big those yummy Chocolate Chip Cookies were! You get 6 of those also included in the order of each Spoonful of Comfort Package. They have a few other items you can include if you are sending to someone who isn't well or maybe you want to send your child in college a little pick me up you can add some little things in there besides just the soup, cookies and rolls. Oh, and they have this awesome Lemonade Package you can order also but because of my chronic bladder condition I can't drink or eat anything with alot of citrus in it so I haven't been able to do that one yet. But, if it is anything like the food, it has gotta be good!

I sure do wish there was a way for them to make some awesome sweet tea to send with this package and boy, that would be the ultimate, don't you think? Well, I guess if you aren't from the South, it might not be, but down here, we pride ourselves on good Sweet Tea!

I know if you were reading my blog last year you read my About Us on how Spoonful of Comfort came about but it is such a powerful story that I like telling it again:
In October 2007, I received the phone call from my mother that she had been diagnosed with Lung Cancer.

I was shocked, scared and panicked. The hardest part about hearing the news, was that she lived in New Brunswick Canada and I lived in Florida. More difficult still, I had just returned the day before from a trip visiting her. With two young children in school, I couldn't just turn around and go back.

I was so upset and felt helpless being so far away. I needed to "Do Something". I looked into sending flowers or fruit, but nothing seemed appropriate. I wanted to show her how much I cared, and in some way comfort her. I immediately thought of chicken soup - it's what she (like many mothers) used to make to comfort me. And the idea for Spoonful of Comfort was born. Just six weeks later, I lost my mother.

During her final weeks she got lots of soup and other comforts from many of her 11 siblings and close friends. She never had the opportunity to try my soup.

However, in her honor, it is my goal to help others with sick loved ones. It is my promise to make and deliver a Spoonful of Comfort to your loved ones with as much care as if I were sending it to my own mother. They'll feel better and so will you. Whether you have an ailing mother, a child away at college with the flu, or a grandchild with an ear infection, Spoonful of Comfort can help you show that you care.
I don't think I told you in my other review but the reason I love this story so much and admire her so much is that my Daddy died of Lung Cancer also but in 2004. I too, lived in another town, same state, but still when you are working and live almost 2 hours away it is hard to fit all that into your schedule. I am relieved that my Dad did not suffer long. Within 5 weeks of his diagnosis he died on a Sunday afternoon right after eating some soup I had made for him. I had just turned around for a quick moment to answer his phone and when I turned back he was gone. It is amazing to me how fast things can happen. I am glad now that I was there when he left and it was hard on me but I treasure that last weekend more than anything.

So, if you know of someone who needs their spirits lifted or they aren't feeling too well, go take them some soup, some cookies, whatever and spend a little time with them and you will always be so eternally grateful that you did! Oh, and by the way in memory of her mother they give back to the American Cancer Society. So, a portion of your proceeds when you buy a Soup Package goes to cancer research.

Spoonful of Comfort would love to send one of my reader's their own Soup Package for Valentine's Day or at least that week sometime. Open to the U.S. only.

The House on Becket Lane Book Review

I have another great book to tell you about called The House on Becket Lane. As my usual way of reviewing, I start with an excerpt from the back or inside the book and then tell you what I read and my opinion of the book:

Lord Dashell Lonsdale is considered one of the most eligible bachelors in London, but few -- even Lord Lonsdale himself -- know that despite appearances, his family fortune is not as secure as he believes. When a chance encounter with an unknown lady on the street shakes his seemingly stable world, the young lord has no idea how to react. She collapses at his feet, a frightened child in her arms. She is whisked away before he can even learn her name.

She is Caroline, the youngest of two daughters of a family that carries a burden of secrets as well. All they know is that their mother's tongue is silenced not by pride but by fear--and she took her secret to her grave. Now Caroline lives in a house with only her stepfather to guide her.

Lord Lonsdale exploits his station to learn of her identity and where she lives. His arrival triggers an angry quarrel between Caroline and her stepfather. Horrified to have caused such tension within her family, he departs with the promise to return the next day.

But duty calls him away before he can keep his promise. He learns that, thanks to the gambling debts of his brother, his family is on the brink of financial ruin. He has no choice but to turn his attention to restoring the family's fortunes and honor. Now Caroline has her own secret to share--and what she must tell him may end their love before it can begin.
My Thoughts:

Caroline and her sister Maude go to a school called Miss Osgood's Academy for Girls and both were always suspicious that the man that their mother was married to was not their real father. Unfortunately, their mother died never telling them the truth. I can tell you that somehow Maude found out something because the day after a man showed up at their house, she fell down the stairs and broke her neck. The stable boy, Johnny, and the housekeeper Hannah felt it was no accident and when Johnny found black string tied to the banisters he knew she had not fallen by accident.

As for Lord Lonsdale, he found out by overhearing a conversation at his Aunt Letty's house that his brother Walden had a gambling debt of 60,000 pounds. He was so lost in his thoughts as to what to do about it that he encountered Caroline on the street while not paying attention. But, once he saw her lovely face, he was mesmerized and forgot to ask her what her name was. He did get the address of where the carriage was taking her though.

Lord Lonsdale visits Caroline and they begin to fall in love. One day her stepfather came home and found him there and caused an ugly scene calling her all kinds of ugly names. This finally is the last straw and Caroline confronts him and that is when she learns that he is not her real father, just a stepfather. This causes another arguement about her seeing Lord Lonsdale and her stepfather forbids her to see him again. She defies him and next thing she knew he was beating her with his cane, breaking her arm, cutting her face and leaves her laying there.

The stepfather has Hannah, the housekeeper carry her to her room and locks her in and brings him the key. But, Hannah loves Caroline and tells Johnny the stable boy to run as fast as he can and tell Lord Lonsdale that he needs to come and get them all out of that house immediately. He does come and rescues her and takes her to his Aunt Letty's house.

I am going to stop there because I don't want to tell you everything about the book. I did leave large gaps here and there in between how things happened also. I normally will tell you a little more, but when I found out that I was going to be able to give 2 of these books away in a giveaway, I decided to not reveal as much as I normally do.

Happy Reading!

You heard me right, 2 of you will win a copy of this great love story that is set in the early 1800's! If you love a little bit of history, a little bit of mystery and a great love story, then this is the book for you! Open to the U.S. only.

Charm Factory Bracelet Review & Giveaway **Closed**

I have a great company to tell you about called The Charm Factory and all of their wonderful bracelets that they have for you to chose from. The one I chose for this review above is May's Emerald because that is my birthstone! I am hoping that my husband will add a few charms to it for Valentines/Anniverssary or my Birthday. We were married the day before Valentine's so I get a two for one kinda deal. I have wanted one of these charm bracelets for a long time and now finally, I got one! I am so excited. The Charm Factory's bracelets are lead free, made in the USA and you get free shipping with orders for over $25.00.

I can tell you that I was so impressed with this bracelet and the charms that I talked my hubby just now into getting me some more beads and charms to add to my bracelet for my Valentine/Anniverssary present! I am tickled pink right now! I got to choose the ones that I wanted and they are gonna be awesome once I get them and put it all together.?
They have all kinds of beads and charms to choose from. They have some great looking European beads to choose from including glass beads, lampwork, pewter luv links, alphabet beads, rhinestone beads, silver luv beads and enamel beads. Did I not tell you that they had alot to choose from! You can also get your silver tone bracelets there. They have several different sizes to choose from.
The Charm Factory also sells supplies and tools to help you if you ever need to fix your bracelets. You can also get Gift Certificates there to send to someone you love if you are afraid to buy it yourself when you don't know what they like or the colors they prefer. I was also surprised to find out that they even have wood charms! I was also surprised that they have watches and watch heads to choose from! Who would have thought?

The beads I have shown you are some of the ones I got for my bracelet except for the pocketbook. I just thought it was really cute and if I had a bracelet that needed something black and silver I would definitely get that little baby! But, I tried to stay with silver and green and did add some clear crystals to mix it up a little. I hope that you go and check out The Charm Factory because they really have alot of neat things.

I could not find any About Us section as I like to so I am quoting The Charm Factory's ad that they have on their Home Page (I did leave some off for the sake of space):

Pearl Bracelet From Pearl Distributors Review & Giveaway **Closed**

I am so excited to tell you about this beautiful pink pearl bracelet that I got from Pearl Distributors!
I know it is kinda hard to tell from the above picture but it is a very nice pale pink bracelet that is 6.0-7.0mm and is 7.5 inches long. They also sent the Appraisal Certificate with it and it is valued at $445.00!! I thought I had hit the Lottery or something. I do have some fake pearl bracelets that I wear stacked a good bit but this is only my second piece of honest to goodness "real" piece of pearl jewelry that I own.

I have a pair of beautiful white pearl earrings that Mike gave me one Christmas and I am so afraid to wear them because the posts don't lock very well and they have come off several times. I need to get those fixed but the store is so far away! Anyway, my bracelet will be worn as much as possible when I go out. I keep pinching myself to make sure it is really there.

Pearl Distributors has so many beautiful pieces to choose from. Mine is a Freshwater Pearl Bracelet but they also have Akoya Pearls and Black Tahitian Pearls. They also carry South Sea Pearls, Handmade Pearls and Freshwater Orient pearls. The Black Pearls are very beautiful and I almost got one of those but I have so much black jewelry that I did not want someone to think I was into gothic stuff, I just wear alot of black and white so I naturally gravitate to those colors.

I do wear pink so that was my second choice but wow, the black ones are beautiful! I think because they can have a rainbow of colors and you never know from one to the next which hue you will get is what makes them so fascinating. The price ranges anywhere starting below $100 up to the $1000's depending on what you want. But my Freshwater Pink Pearl Bracelet is really stunning also!

Hopefully, this picture will give you a better idea of how really pretty it is! They have the Freshwater Pearls in 5 different colors to choose from and it was really hard to decide.

I have also always wanted a Lavender Pearl Bracelet but knew I probably would not wear it as much so I needed to stick with colors that I would. It sure was tempting though!

You can choose from white, lavender, pink/peach, black and multi-colored. I have wondered what in the world would a multi-colored pearl bracelet would look like but wasn't sure if I would like it so I went with my first impression with the pink. But you can't go wrong with any of them.

Here is a little more info on my Freshwater Pink Pearl Bracelet (I did use their wording so it would come out right):
•Exceptional quality control and stringing by our own Design Technicians. Our jewelry is double strung by hand with extra strong fine silk and knotted between each pearl for prevention against loss

•The pink Freshwater Bracelets are completed by hand with a double locking lovely solid 14K Yellow Gold Fishook Filigree Clasp. Looking for a 14K White Gold Clasp? Simply choose.
Pearl Distributors is having a 50% off sale for the month of February on their Pink Pearl Necklaces. But, that is not the only thing you will find on sale. There will be earrings and bracelets of different colors so if you are thinking about getting your loved one or yourself something for Valentine's Day, this would be a great place to start. You also get Free Shipping and a 90 Day Unconditional Guarantee so I don't see how you could find a better deal than that. Of course, the Free Shipping & 90 Day is on all jewelry, not just the Pink Pearl Necklaces that are on sale. And remember, you get an Appraisal Certificate also!

The Appraisal Certificate will also have the description of your jewelry:

As you can see it comes in a very nice black velvet case that protects the bracelet. They take very good care to make sure that your jewelry arrives in good condition and ready for you to wear. I was very impressed with the whole process and how easy it was to go thru Pearl Distributors site and pick what I wanted and get it ordered. The shipping time frame was also very fast and I had it in no time at all!

Now all my regular readers always know I like to know a little history on my companies that I review and there was so much I found that I could not possibly tell you everything but I urge you to go to their About Us section and read how this fascinating company came to be:
Pearl Jewelry store owners, Pearl Distributors, started as a small family business that has developed into an international success story. Warren Garten founder and President in 2004 gave up a 6 figure job as a real estate manager and started Living The Dream by working full time with his 23 year old TWIN SONS Adam and Robert. A dream come true for him. Andrew and Miriam Reed and their son, Nathan now work along with them. They are both very family-oriented and enjoy the opportunity to work together as families in the pearl jewelry business.
