Ultimate 3 in 1 Caddy by Wilton Review

Awhile back I did a review on a Cuisinart Coffee Grinder from Cooking.com and now I have the other item I had ordered at the same time which is the Ultimate 3 in 1 Caddy from Wilton. I absolutely love this caddy! Not sure why they called it a caddy because it is a cupcake holder and long cake holder. The third option is the smaller cupcakes but I also figured out it would work perfectly for muffins also! It will hold 12 regular cupcakes, 24 mini cupcakes and a 9 x 13" cake!

It has a handle on the top for you to carry your precious cargo to and from any party or to use as a cover-up to keep insects from getting into your delicious morsels at home! I have been wanting one of these for a long time and Cooking.com was gracious in letting me order one to try. Only thing missing is a little pizzazz, like making it in wonderful pastel colors or even Christmas colors for the holidays! Mmm, maybe they will do that once they read my review, what do you think?

I have had Wilton products in the past and know from first hand experience that they have good sturdy products that you can count on. The 3 in 1 Caddy is no exception. The Ultimate 3-in-1 Caddy features an exclusive reversible cupcake tray and the see-through cover has higher sides to protect icing flowers and tall decorations.

On Cooking.com you can review a product and give it stars so I checked what other people were saying about the Caddy and what they rated it as and it got 4.4 stars out of a possible 5, so in my book, it means it is worth every penny! It sells for $19.95 on Cooking.com in case you want to get one for yourself once you see these pictures:

As you can see the circles that hold the cupcakes are arranged and centered perfect for regular cupcakes or muffins. The purpose of the circles is to keep the cupcakes/muffins from sliding around inside your caddy if you are carrying it.

We actually eat more muffins than we do cupcakes but I love the high lid it comes with so that your icing on your cupcakes or square cake will not get squashed once you put the lid on. Don't you just hate that? Nothing ruins a party than to open the container the cake came in and see all the icing squashed together like someone had a paintball fight!

The plastic they made this out of is very sturdy but please be careful and do not set it on a hot stove or oven, unless you want melted plastic mixed in with your cake/cupcakes!

The plastic caddy does clean up very nice by hand. I don't recommend putting this in the dishwasher as I have had other plastic bowls and such melt a little from the hot water. Besides, it would take up alot of space in the dishwasher which in turns means you are going to have to leave something out and will end up washing that by hand. So, to keep it simple, just hand wash and your caddy will last for quite awhile.

It looks really big and bulky but it is not. I think it is just the right size. You will love the fact that finally we have a caddy that can carry a square sheet cake. I always avoided making them that way because I had no way of storing it or carrying it to a family reunion or a party. I don't like the metal ones because as soon as someone cuts the cake in that metal it leaves marks and eventually rusts the more you wash it.

So, I am finally liberated to make cakes and cupcakes any way that I want! Well, let me re-phrase that to include muffins. I used to stack them into a storage unit that was not big enough and they would get squashed. But, not with this caddy, no siree! I think I am going to enjoy this caddy for a long time to come.

See the difference between a regular cupcake and the mini cupcakes? Wanted you to see how it looks and that all you do is flip them over or in the sheet cake instance you slid one the compartments off and you will have a flat surface to lay your beautiful sheet cake on.

They have two other styles to put your cupcakes on that reminds me of a tree but the thing about those is what do you store them in?

Just can't leave cupcakes out without something to cover them up so maybe the tree looking holders are just for decoration to make a bold statement that you have arrived as a cook and baker!!

As for Cooking.com, you will love this site! It has so many different products and manufacturers that you will have a hard time deciding what to get.

It took me awhile to make up my mind but once I did, I could hardly wait for it to arrive. There is such a long list of things that you can get at Cooking.com along with recipes to help you make the best possible meal. Some are bakeware, cookware, kitchen storage, cookbooks, cooking utensils, flatware and small appliances. There are more so go take a look and see if anything interests you.

I also found out that Betty Crocker, Rachel Ray, FoodNetwork, Marley Coffee and Epicurious are all under the umbrella of Cooking.com! Right now they are offering Free Shipping on orders over $79 so now is the time to get some things that you have been wanting for awhile! I also came across a page called Made In America!

Since I just did a review on the coffee grinder I am not going to do a History/About Us on this sponsor. If you need to refresh your memory just go to where the post is on Cuisinart Coffee Grinder.
