Snikiddy Review & Giveaway **Closed**

When I first got my acceptance to do a review of Snikiddy's products I was super hyped! I had seen them around some other blogs and they really sounded good. So, when I got the couppons to go and get the products that I wanted, I was very anxious to see what I could find. Imagine my surprise when my local Kroger only had the one kind! I was so bummed!! That is why you see two bags of the same product in the above picture. I looked at a few other stores that are close to me but no one else carried their products.

If I had gone to another town about 30 miles away I might have found them but as my readers know I am not in the best of health so any trip like that was out of the question. It's not the 30 miles there, it is the 30 miles back that is hard. But, it's okay because the Original Seasoning Baked Fries were pretty darn good! They were so good that my granddaughter confiscated a bag and took it home with her! She normally does not like just any ole chip or similar snacks because she is stuck on those onion things (can't remember their name) and she turns her nose up to anything else, so for this to pass her test was really saying alot!

Here are some of the flavors that they have if you get the chance to try some of their other products:

1. BBQ Baked Fries
2. Sea Salt Baked Fries
3. Grilled Cheese Puffs
4. Mac n'Cheese Puffs
5. Southwest Cheddar Fries
6. Bold Buffalo Fries
7. Cheddar Cheese Fries
8. Classic Ketchup Fries

Don't they sound scrumptious? I would have loved the Cheese Puffs because those are my favorite type of chips/snacks so maybe one day when I am out somewhere further away from where I live I can look around and see if I found some of them. I know my husband would have loved the Bold Buffalo Fries also. Maybe next time, if I get to do this again, I will have someone get them for me who lives in the big "city"! But I have to tell you that the Original Seasoning Baked Fries were pretty good. Do you know what they reminded me of?

The way McDonalds used to fry their French Fries! You know, real thin and real crispy? Those were the best until they messed around with the way they cook them, which I know they were trying to make them healthier, but it just never was the same again, until I tried these! I love really crunchy fries and the only thing missing was that they weren't hot (cooking hot not taste hot).

I found out from reading the bag and going on to Snikiddy's site that they are gluten free, wheat free, no preservatives, no trans or saturated fats, no corn syrups or hydrogenated oils and peanut or tree nut free.

They are just baked with herbs and spices! That's it! No hidden ingredients or things you can't pronounce or spell, just good ole potatoes seasoned with a mix of herbs and spices! Wow! Isn't that great?

And the best part is they are only 130 calories per serving which is about 1 oz and in each bag is 4 servings so even if you ate half the bag you would consume 260 calories and only 9 grams of fat! But, really, you don't need to eat that many to get full when eaten with a good sandwich or a bowl of soup. It makes the perfect team.

Here is what I found out about the co-founders of Snikiddy:

Snikiddy® co-founder Mary Owings Schulman graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in business finance. During the subsequent ten years spent working in the financial world, she became increasingly concerned about children’s health, as obesity and diabetes in America continued to rise at an alarming rate. It seemed clear to her that the poor quality of the foods kids were eating, especially snack foods packed with fructose corn syrup, was a big part of the problem. So, in 2006, partnering with her mother, Janet Owings, she decided to become part of the solution by founding Snikiddy®, a company that produces delicious, appealing snacks that promote good health.

Currently the head of marketing for Snikiddy®, Schulman resides in Bethesda, Maryland, with her husband and two young daughters. She is very active in her children’s school, an avid reader, enjoys trail runs and stays centered as a student of yoga.

Janet Owings, a self-taught cook and baker, is the creative inspiration behind Snikiddy Snacks®. After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Education, Owings worked for many years as both a teacher and real estate developer. Her true passion, however, has always been creating delicious foods that both nourish and delight. Over the last five years, Owings has become an avid student of children’s health, and works to incorporate optimal nutritional balance in all the Snikiddy® products that are created. In her free time, Owings enjoys gardening, painting, and spending as much time as possible with her family.

Here is the link to Snikiddy's site that will help you locate a store near you and you can also order online from this page. You can also contact them on this link and to get a free coupon! You can also text "Snikiddy" to 23000 for special offers and updates.

Snikiddy has graciously offered one reader a box of Snikiddy goodies that include 3 bags of their products, a Snikiddy art kit and a Snikiddy chip clip. This is for US residents only.

Yummy giveaway. Thanks. My favorite Snikiddy snack to try would have to be the Sea Salt Fries. But it's a toss up between that and the Bold Buffalo fries.
