Sansa Clip Zip MP3 Player Review

Do you like to listen to music? If you do, this is one MP3 Player you really need to check out! The Sansa Clip Zip MP3 player with 4 GB is the latest addition to the the popular Sansa Clip product line that ranks among the best selling $50 MP3 players here in the U.S. It follows the Sansa Clip + MP3 player. All I know is that it is the smallest, lightest and gives you 15 hours of playback!

I must admit that I have never owned an MP3 player in my life but my granddaughter knows all about them and I bought her one a few years back for Christmas and she used it so much that it finally wore out. My husband helped me load the software onto my laptop and we got it all set up pretty fast and it was not as hard as I thought it would be. Sansa provided us with excellent directions and easy to understand commands that even I had no trouble understanding.

I am very much in awe how little this MP3 player is to have so much power to go 15 hours! It also features the ultimate on the go audio experience and has a large color screen, a stopwatch, a microphone with voice recording capabilities and an FM radio! Wow, all that in that tiny little red box! This particular player also has a high resolution color 1.1" LCD screen with 83% more viewing area than other Sansa Clip players. Find more product information on Sandisk's website.

Included in the package is a microSDHC memory card slot that lets you instantly increase your storage space by up to 32 gigabytes(GB). This player also uses a micro-USB connector that replaces the mini-USB connector found on the Sansa Clip + MP3 player. The player is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Linux operating systems and is preconfigured to work well with Rhapsody, eMusic and Napster.

The major music formats it is compatible with include AAC (DRM-free iTunes), MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and Audible files for audio books. Whew, that was a mouthful! I had to have help with all of that as I am not a MP3 whiz so I had to read all of that carefully to be able to translate here. I hope I did not confuse anyone, of course, if you are like my granddaughter, you understand all that! If you are like me, I just need to know the basics and I will learn as I go.

Thankfully, they made this pretty simple and easy to understand so you should have no problems. If you need more product information please go to Sandisk's website and you will find a whole lot of information there.

I got the red one but you can get them in an array of colors which include black, grey, blue, purple, orange and white. The Sansa Clip Zip MP3 player is available now at major retailers and at sandisk.com in either 4GB or 8GB and the retail prices are $49.99 for the 4GB and $69.99 for the 8GB, with retailers to set in-store pricing.

Just a quick note to let you know that the 4GB will carry up to 1,000 songs that are about 3 1/2 minutes long while the 8GB will carry about 2,000 songs that are about 3 1/2 minutes long. Hopefully, that information will make it easier for you to decide which one you need. If you are like me, the 4GB is plenty big enough!

But for someone like my granddaughter who listens to music all the time, the 8GB is probably better for her. I have both knee's replaced so I can't use the MP3 for excerising but if I were able to this would be perfect to help occupy my mind while doing my daily exercise. According to my granddaughter this MP3 is excellent for any of your music needs whether casual or heavy use.

She says the sound is just right with a balance of bass and treble and the best part is that she says it is small enough to clip onto her clothes while she is walking and no one can see it and it does not make a bulge. It took us all just a tad minute to get used to the teeny weeny MP3 player but once you do, you will love that it is compact enough to hide under clothes, deliver great music and stays clipped without falling off of whatever you clip it to!

She gave the Sansa Clip Zip MP3 a thumbs up on all features and she really loved that it could be used on so many music formats!

Here is what was included in the package:

•SanDisk® Sansa® Clip Zip™ MP3 Player
•USB 2.0 transfer cable
