Midnight's Wild Passion Book Review

I was contacted by the author, Anna Campbell, to review her book, Midnight's Wild Passion, which has been signed by her and she also sent one for me to give away to a lucky reader! If you love a suspenseful love story that starts out as a hate/love affair then this is the book for you!

This book is filled with twists and turns for several characters and you will enjoy the ride as much as the characters do in this very steamy book about love, hate, romance, revenge and finally lots of sexy encounters!

Here is a brief description that is on the back cover of the book:

London's most notorious seducer, Nicholas Challoner lives solely for revenge....The dashing, licentious Marquess of Ranelaw can never forgive Godfrey Demarest for ruining his sister ---now the time has come to repay the villain in the same coin.
But one formidably intriguing impediment stands in the way of Nicholas's vengeance: Miss Antonia Smith, companion to his foe's unsuspecting daughter.

Having herself been deceived and disgraced by a rogue--banished by her privileged family as a result and forced to live a lie--Antonia vows to protect her charge from the same cruel fate. She recognizes Ranelaw for the shameless blackguard he is and will devote every ounce of her intelligence and resolve to thwarting him. Yet Antonia has always had a fatal weakness for rakes................
So, as you can imagine, this is quite the story about a woman who knows first hand what can happen if you fall in love with the wrong kind of man and tries her best to help the young girl, Cassie, from making the same mistakes that she made. Only she forgot to look out for herself in the process.

Nicholas Challoner has only had one thought for years, revenge for the crime that Godfrey Demarest had done to his sister, Eloise. Eloise had gotten pregnant by Godfrey and lost her child and fled to a convent to escape the horror of her life. She found the peace she needed but her brother had not. Nicholas planned to take out his revenge on Godfrey's daughter, Cassie.

Antonia Smith is a cousin to the Demarest's family and is living with them under a disguise because she had run off with a man named Johnny Benton who she later found out was already married. Antonia's father refused to let her come home and had told her brother that she was dead.

In Nicholas's quest to seduce Cassie, he was suddenly drawn to Antonia and she also felt the connection but refused his advances at first. Their connection though became greater and grew into passion and eventually they both fell in love which shocked both of them.

I am not going to tell you anymore than that as you need to read the book to see what happens next. There are some exciting surprises for both Antonia and Nicholas but most especially for Eloise whom Nicholas thought he should protect when in fact she was where she wanted to be and did not regret or hold hate in her heart for any wrongdoings in her past.

This is really a good romantic, sexy and suspense filled book with lots of turns and twists that should keep you stitches in some places! I bet we can all relate to some of the antics that the characters find themselves in from time to time. Although written in a different time period, love is love and it never ceases to amaze me how much alike we all really are when it comes right down to it, all we really want is for someone to love us for us and that, my friends, will never change.

The author has given me an extra copy to giveaway and she has signed the book also. For more information about the author go to her website.

I think romances that start out the way this one does are great! It is always fun to see how the characters come together and reconcile their differences.
