Mario Camacho Olives Review & Giveaway **Closed**

Ymm, you are gonna love this one! I was very fortunate to be able to review Mario Comacho's olives and boy, were they good! I have had my fair share of olives in the past and I can tell you right now I am not too fond of the ones that have those pits or seeds in them. They are still good, I just don't like to have to spit them back out.

Thankfully, Mario Camacho's olives did not have any pits or seeds in them. First let me tell you that I got what they called the Snack Pouches so that they can be taken anywhere. All of the below olives that I received were seasoned with Thyme. The Chili ones had chili seasonings added to their packs while the Garlic olives had garlic added to theirs. The other difference in the pouches is that there is no salt water added to them. So all you get is olives!

Here are the varieties I got to review:

1. Chili Seasoned Olives (2 each)
2. Kalamata Seasoned Olives (2 each)
3. Garlic Seasoned Olives (2 each)

I thought that was pretty nice and cool of Mario Camacho to do. We had so many olives to eat and I knew that they could go bad before we got to all of them so I enlisted my friend, Lynette, to help us since I knew she was an olive lover as much as my husband, Mike is. He pretty much can eat olives with any kind of food and especially loves them with his sandwiches. I can tell you that he really loved the Chili seasoned ones the best!

Mike is absolutely crazy about spicy food and this was right up his alley! Those two bags of Chili seasoned olives did not last very long at all. He said they were some of the best he had ever had, so that is a huge compliment from him. He is usually very sparse with his compliments so for him that was a huge concession for him to make!

Now, don't those look really yummy?

My friend, Lynette had taken a bag of the Garlic seasoned olives and a bag of the Kalamata olives with her. I kept one of each for myself. I have always loved the nice big plump Kalamata olives so I tried those first. Mario Camacho's Kalamata olives were absolutely awesome! I don't know if it was the thyme that made the difference or not, but they sure were good! I then tried the Garlic seasoned olives and was pleasantly surprised at how good they were also. I usually don't care too much for the green olives but I have to admit that these were really good and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

When Lynette turned in her opinion of the olives, I found out we both really enjoyed the Kalamata olives the best with the green Garlic seasoned olives coming in a close second. Mike did try some of the Garlic seasoned olives also and he really liked them as well but was really taken with the Chili ones the most. He also did sample some of the Kalamata olives and he said they were pretty awesome, too. So, his favorites were the green Chili seasoned olives and the purple Kalamata olives. So, we all found something that we liked and it was all around a great experience for all three of us!

I found out on Mario Camacho's site that they also sell Bacon Bits, Capers, Onions, Maraschino Cherries, Fruit Jams, Olive Oil, Pimientos, Peppers, Speciality Olives, Garlic Cloves, Bread Crumbs, The Jug BBQ Sauce and Martini Sauce. Whew, that is alot of products! According to them, they have over 100 products! I wish I had known about the Capers because I absolutely love them! Have you ever had them with a white sauce over chicken and pasta? It is called Chicken Piccata! Gosh, I love that stuff! And the Cocktail Onions are awesome in dishes and I know that they are used in certain drinks.

Here is what I found out about them on their website under About Us:

I know these are not Olives, but I happened to see that they had Cocktail Onions. I have loved cocktail onions since I was a child. They're great with a piece of cheese. So that would definitely be what I'd want. Nice giveaway. Thanks.
