You can't tell from this photo but on the bottom tip of this egg like creation is a purple gemstone! I know, it is a little weird that someone put a purple gemstone but it is what sets it apart and makes it unique! I can tell you that all of my friends loved it when I wore it Thanksgiving Night to see what everyone else thought of the necklace.
I did not realize it until one of my friends compared it to the Faberge Egg and then I came home and researched it on JewelMint's site and sure enough that is what it said! It is set with crystals on a gold plated and black enamel pendant. The chain is 26" long with a 3 1/2" extender. That is what really sold me on this piece was that I could make it longer for wearing thick sweaters in the winter. I do have to tell you that this necklace is currently sold out but you can be put on a waitlist if you prefer to wait for it!
Here are a few more pieces that I think are stunning:
JewelMint has you take a Style Quiz and then based on your answers they line up what pieces of jewelry they think fits what answers you gave them.
These go into your "favorites" account and from then on they are able to send you emails letting you know of a particular piece you might be interested in for that month. If you do decide to stay in the JewelMint you will get monthly recommendations but you do not have to buy if you don't want to. Each piece is specially priced at $29.99 and it comes with free shipping and simple returns.
JewelMint's pieces have been featured in Lucky Magazine, Elle, Instyle, Shape, People and Teen Vogue! Check out the Testimonial site for what other people are saying about JewelMint and see if anything they are saying makes you want to go and try it out. You can also check out which Actresses have been wearing JewelMint pieces on their Seen On site. I found out that several American Idol Top 11 wore their jewelry also!
I also found out that proceeds from the Nordic Treasure Necklace goes to their charity, Free the Slaves, and you can go to that page to see some of the celebrities that have helped with this cause.
Here is a quote from their site:
The largest anti-slavery organization in the United States, Free the Slaves was established to campaign against the modern practice of slavery around the world. The organization enlists businesses to clean slavery out of their product chains and empower consumers to stop buying into slavery. In addition, Free the Slaves works with governments to produce effective anti-slavery laws.I hope between the pictures and my writing that you head on over to JewelMint and look around, watch a few videos and take the Style Test to see what Celebrity Style do you share. I was a little shocked at what some of my answers told me about what I should like in jewelry. It was an interesting test to say the least!
The campaign supports economic opportunities, health services, universal education, and strong rule of law to reduce the possibility of enslavement. Through research and strategic action, Free the Slaves is committed to supporting sustainable solutions and to seeking guidance from local and regional anti-slavery programs.
