Enstrom's Almond Toffee Review & Giveaway **Closed**

Oh, my, I am so at a loss for words on this one! I know you hear me all the time say this is good and that is great but this time, Enstrom's Almond Toffee was so finger licking good, smack your lips and groan, Oh My God, that was sooo Good! I have always had a soft spot for anything that remotely tastes like Heath bars or Toffee and this candy far exceeded my expectations!

When I first got the box (by the way it is (1) pound!), I was so excited because it was heavy and I had no idea that there would be so much toffee in there. (By the way, it comes in 1, 2, 3 and 5 pound boxes!) It was beautifully packaged in a nice gift box and I was so excited I forgot to take a picture of the box and after I opened it, I pretty much ruined the pretty box it came in!

Even though we were going to be eating dinner pretty soon, I could not resist it, I had to have a few bites! First of all, did you notice how big the pieces are? And that they are covered in chopped nuts? There is chocolate underneath the nuts and then the best part is under the chocolate, the most mouth watering toffee I have ever had!!! I kid you not on this one. I have had to show great restraint in making this box last for over two weeks by trying to just get a small piece at a time and it has been really hard!

Does this not look so unbelieveably scrumptious? I know their picture at the top probably looks nicer but that one shows a different picture of the toffee which is good but it is already broken down in pieces where as the picture I took shows you how it comes in a (1) pound box and boy, are those pieces huge! You can get Enstrom's Almond Toffee in milk chocolate, dark chocolate, almond toffee petites, almond toffee bars, toffee popcorn, almond toffee singles and almond toffee crumbs!

Gosh, I wish I had known about toffee popcorn! Wow, I bet that would have sent me into orbit! I think I said this once but will tell you again, I try not to look at their site until I am ready to do the review. I don't want to read or see anything that will cloud my review. I like to experience my food or product then read about it. It works for me better that way. So, finding out all of these other great toffee products has made my mouth water and want more.

Look at these Almond Toffee petites. I got this off of their site also since I did not get these but I bet there is no difference in the taste other than they are smaller bites of the same Almond Toffee I received in the extra large pieces.

I just wanted to give you an extra picture of this wonderful toffee to make you visualize just how tempting it was for me to try and stay away from it! I kept the box of Almond Toffee in the fridge (which it does say to do to keep it fresh) but I also did it to try and not see it every time I went into the kitchen!

These pretty little babies can be bought in milk chocolate and dark chocolate or you can get combos of both chocolates. You can also get them in 1 or 2 pound boxes. Oh, and the best part, if you need to get them in sugar free, Enstrom's has their Almond Toffee in sugar free also! They also have the Toffee Popcorn in sugar free along with their Nut Assortment. Now, wasn't that sweet of them to think about all of you, too, who have to have sugar free products!

Now, here is some of the other items that they have on their site besides almond toffee. They have Chocolate Assortments, Cream Caramels (oh lord, it is a good thing I did not know about this one either. Caramels are my 2nd favorite thing!), Mint Meltaways, Mini-Turtles, Nuts & Chews, Truffles, Peppermint Cookie Bark and all Chet's Victoria Butter Creams. Whoa, what an assortment of candy! I guess it was a really good thing I did not visit the site ahead of time or I would have been hard pressed to figure out what I wanted to try!

And to put a little birdie in some of your bosses ears or maybe just a family member or friend, they make gift tins, gift baskets, gift packs and wedding favors! The Peppermint Cookie Bark comes in 1 or 2 pound tins also. So, if I were you, I would put a bug into somebody's ear and see if I could score something from this great candy store!

Oh, you are gonna love this little history lesson!
Three generations ago, Chet Enstrom perfected the art of blending the finest natural ingredients to create batches of almond toffee as gifts for family and friends. By 1960, his almond toffee had begun to develop a reputation and, at the urging of family and friends, Chet and his wife, Vernie, founded Enstrom Candies in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Over the years, the business has grown and been passed down from generation to generation. The family still follows the same original recipe for the almond toffee that Chet perfected almost 80 years ago. They have also created a delectable selection of fine chocolates, which like the toffee, are blended with only the freshest, high-quality ingredients to create luxurious and unique confections that are shipped around the world.

Today, Chet's granddaughter, Jamee and her husband, Doug Simons, have owned and operated the company since 1993, and oversee the operation out of Grand Junction. Chet's grandson Rick, and his wife Linda, manage the Denver area retail stores. This third generation continues to take pride in creating truly exceptional confections and still operates with the philosophy begun by Chet; that they're just making a little Almond Toffee for a few of their friends.
