Wow Baking Review

I wanted to say before I start this review that I really appreciated all the warm and thoughtful comments left while I have been under the weather and recouping from my surgery. I did not want to keep putting off some of my reviews and I decided I should get some of the food ones out of the way before I forget how they tasted!

This is a new company I found and let me tell you I was so happy that I did. Wow Baking Company is an All Natural, Wheat and Gluten Free gourmet fresh baked goods and grocery line!

Here are some of the delicious cookies and three holiday products they sent me to review:

1. Snickerdoodle Cookie
2. Peanut Butter Cookie
3. Ginger Molasses Cookie
4. Chocolate Chip Cookie
5. Pumpkin Spice Cookie (holiday item)
6. White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies (holiday item)
7. Peppermint Brownies (holiday item)

Whew, I must tell you the single cookies were really big and individually wrapped which I liked because you know how it is when someone opens the box of cookies and does not seal it back right they all get stale or gummy. I love having a fresh cookie when I get ready to eat one and my very first cookie I tried was the Snickerdoodle.

Mike had gone to bed and I made a cup of hot tea and got my Snickerdoodle and was actually writing a review or doing a blog hop, not sure which, but before I knew it, that cookie was gone! Boy, it sure was good! All their cookies come in either single size, tubs or in boxes which would be the mini cookies.

My husband and best friend dug into the White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies like their life depended on it and I had to grab the container away from them. The Peppermint Brownies and the White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies were the two items we got that came in a tub so there was plenty to go around. Lynette, my friend, declared the White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies her favorite. (of course, I did not let her sample the big cookies except the Pumpkin Spice one I let her take home).

I would have loved the Pumpkin Spice because I could eat Pumpkin pie and Pumpkin Rolls out the ying yang and I was so tempted to eat it but I didn't. I have to be careful about potassium levels and pumpkin unfortunately has too high a level so I let her have that one and she said it was really good but she still liked the White Chocolate Cranberry ones the best! Mike preferred the Peppermint Brownies, but to tell you the truth, he loves all brownies in any form, so this was right up his alley!

I next tried the Ginger Molasses one night after everyone was asleep and I had work to do on the computer (as usual) but it is the one time of the day that it is really quiet and I love that. I ate it again with my hot tea and was in heaven. It is hard to believe that these cookies were all made with gluten free flour which is (brown rice, sweet rice and tapioca)! I never knew really what gluten free flour was until I read the flyer they sent with my cookies to look over and see what was in them.

I then ate the Peanut Butter Cookie one other night and oh, my goodness, it tasted just like Mama used to make! It was so good it made me remember being a child and thinking there was nothing no better than having a peanut butter cookie!

Mmm, those were some good memories that cookie brought up. Lastly, I ate the Chocolate Chip and boy, was I glad, because if there had been a way to get another one of those babies I would have found a way!

My whole family is nuts over Chocolate Chip Cookies so I hid that one real good until I could not stand it anymore. It was so good and had just the right amount of chocolate chips in it.

I found out from reading the ingredients it had chocolate liquor and cocoa butter in it so I bet that was what gave it that extra punch!

All the big individual cookies are gone but we are slowly eating the Peppermint Brownies and White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies so that we don't become too fat! I keep them in the fridge although the directions say that the tub cookies will last up to 30 days on the shelf I still like to put All Natural food items in the fridge to make sure they stay fresh and good in case it takes us longer to eat them.

I found out that Wow Baking Company also has Cookie Dough in tubs if you want to bake them yourself and they also have Gourmet Cake Mixes you can get from them also! They come in the Chocolate Mix and the Yellow cake mix. Looks like the only three cookies we did not get to sample were the Oregon Oatmeal which looked really good and was packed with cranberries and apricots which I would have loved!

My husband would not have eaten it but Oatmeal Cookies are another one of my favorites, so maybe next time I can get those! Then the other one was a Chocolate Brownie, which we all would have had to fight over for sure because chocolate anything around this house does not last long! The last one I found on the website was called Lemon Burst and that would have been a one of my favorites! I would have had to share because of the citrus juice (another thing I can't have with my bladder condition), but a little wouldn't have hurt.

Here is the link to see if you have a retail store near you that might carry these wonderful cookies and brownies! I don't have any of those stores near me so if I want these again, I will have to order off the website.

As always, I like to give you a little history or at least a quote from the company to give you a little better idea what brought about their making this kind of product or what set them down this path. And as you all know by now, I quote directly from their site so no misunderstandings occur:

Our home is in the Pacific Northwest, an environment of inspiration for All-Natural products and an area supporting “green” business practices. In 2007 we grew out of our production kitchen. This year we were excited to move into our new offices and production facility built to meet the growing demand for our products.

Susan Howe, our Director of Product Development is passionate about creating the best tasting WOW baked goods. With a true love for baking, Susan spends countless hours mixing and baking until she has mastered the ultimate blend of ingredients. After the WOW team gets a chance to devour her creations, Susan evaluates the comments and refines the recipe to perfection.

At WOW BAKING we are dedicated to creating the best tasting All Natural Wheat and Gluten-free baked goods found anywhere. We love to hear people say “WOW” when they try our products. Let us know what flavors have you saying “WOW”. Susan is always looking for new ideas and the WOW team is always ready to try new products!

Mary Bearden personally reviewed these products. I did not receive any monetary compensation for my review, just a sample product. All opinions are mine and belong to me solely. My thoughts and opinions may differ from yours. The photo's used in this review were provided by me and my sometimes cranky camera but it was all me with no copied pictures.

What a great review - these cookies sound wonderful! I think my favorite would be those peppermint brownies though. I know a lot of health-conscious people who would be interested in these products!

So cool. I'm always on the lookout for new gluten free brands. My partner has a mild gluten allergy. GF products have come a long way! The cookie dough sounds super fun. That way you can fresh bake gluten free cookies with little effort! I must try this brand. :)
