Thymes Review Part I

I am so blow away by Thymes and what they sent me to review that I have decided to do my review in two parts.

You want to know the reason?

Well, they sent so many products I could take forever going over each one and have so many pictures to show that I decided since they had been over the top generous in sending me so many great things to try that I owed it to them and the wonderful products to divide them up so that I could talk about them and do justice to these amazing products!

The first ones that I will talk about are these four:

1. Lavender Body Lotion
2. Lavender Body Wash
3. Kimono Rose Roll on Perfume
4. AmberSweet Orange Body Wash

Let me tell you, don't let the name Kimono Rose throw you off into thinking this is your mother's type of fragrance, because you would be dead wrong! The day after all my products from Thymes came, my granddaughter and her friend came over to see me (and to wash their clothes!), and they saw all the products lined up on my bar.

They proceeded to open them all and smell and let me tell you when they got to the Kimono Rose Roll On, I thought I was going to have to fight to get it back!! So, both of these girls are in their early 20's and they were begging me to let them have it!! I said no way, I had to review it and write about it, so no you may not! Then Brandi says well, after then, can I have it?

So, it looks like I am going to either be buying her a roll on for herself or giving her this one and buy myself the bigger bottle of cologne! This is the lightest, sweetest, sexiest, cleanest, purist scent I have smelled in a long time! The girls agreed, it was light enough and pretty enough that they would wear it without thinking it was their mother's or grandmother's perfume from back in the day!

Now, that is their exact words. You will love this, I guarantee it! Your husband or boyfriend just might attack you the first night you put it on, it is that good...............! I will let you imagine the rest.

Now, I know you know that Lavender is my thing so I could not pass up a chance to try Thymes version of Lavender Body Wash. The first time I used the body wash my husband was in the living room and did not know what I had done. While I was drying my hair he came in and went to the closet, did a double take, came back out and said, "What did you do"? I am like, what? He said, "I don't know what you just did but my God it sure does smell good!" I am here to tell you that all I did was use the Lavender Body Wash.

When I opened the bottle in the shower and first poured some on my scrubby brush and proceeded to shower, the first thing that hit me was baby powder! Now, why I don't know but then the hint of lavender came next. It was a strange combination of baby powder and lavender that assaulted my nose and I felt pure joy! I was like in heaven and thinking I could use this every day. It is not strong or overpowering like some lavenders can be.

Thymes has figured out a way to make it baby fresh clean and smell like lavender at the same time. I don't know but I can tell you my husband usually will only comment on how good I smell when I wear perfume, not just from body wash!! So, take that to the bank. You will melt in the shower just like I did when you smell this fragrance!

Next, if you really want to ratchet up the lavender, then put on the Lavender Body Lotion! Oh my! I know when I tell you this next little bit you are going to think, um, she has a strange family, but it is a good one. I was putting on my Lavender Body Lotion and my Yorkie, Charlie, came running over and stopped dead in his tracks, looks up at me, starts wiggling his nose and I knew right then if I did not get my legs up off the floor and onto the couch he would lick them clean! And just as I was trying to do that he got a couple of licks in!!!

Charlie is my tester of whether or not a lotion is acceptable or not. He loves to lick every bit of it off unless it is a smell he does not like. Maybe he is used to me wearing so much lavender, I don't know, but he sure did make a bee line to my legs the minute his nose smelled it! So, you have it on Charlie's authority that the lotion meets the mustard and it leaves your skin silky smooth on top of all that!

Can't get a better recommendation than that, is all I can say. I will say this, hint hint, between Charlie and my husband, this Lavender scent that Thymes has is keeping me in kisses! And you will smell fresh, clean and just happy.

Oh my, what can I tell you about AmberSweet Orange Body Wash! It has a honey, creamy yogurt and a hint of citrus when you first open the bottle. It has Vitamin E in it also to help moisturize your skin. I think I had told them I had dry skin so they added this to my little collection that they sent me. At first I was not too sure about all those ingredients together.

But, my skin was drinking it up while I showered and the citrus smell perked me up (I was a little tired from the Fibro & RA) and it helped me get thru the rest of the day! The hint of citrus should clear your head and wake up your body and it will be perfect if you are not a morning person and need something to zap you awake.

And if you are stressed out after work, then take a shower with this to take the stress away! I haven't tried it yet, but am going to, but I read on Thymes site that some of the people who like this one are using it to wash their hair also and have reported that they have that hint of citrus in their hair all day. So, if this sounds like you, go for it! This one will definitely make you feel like a woman who knows what she wants out of life!!

Now, can you see why I had to break them up? I will have more products to talk about in about a week. I want to take the time to use them and enjoy them before I tell you about them. I did not want to mix them all up because I don't get a good sense of the product if I am rushed. I want to give you the best description that I know of and be able to say it with sincere honesty. So, next week, you will hear about the rest of the great products that Thymes so kindly sent me!

I am only going to give you a snippet of what Thymes is all about because I want to save some of it for next week but here is a sample of what they say made them decide to undertake the making of Thymes:

Our story starts with fragrance. Impossible to capture and hold in your hand, fragrance nonetheless is as real, powerful and evocative as it is fleeting. Which makes us love it all the more. Indeed, fragrance captivates us, uniting and inspiring us every single day. It’s both our journey and our destination.

What makes a Thymes fragrance? It’s a scent that’s fresh and clean, instantly familiar yet remarkably engaging. Complex, yet never overpowering. With a balance of identifiable notes originating from the time-honored traditions of perfumery. Yet blended in a unique way for how we live our lives today.

It’s a fragrance used or worn every day, woven into the fabric of daily life. You wake up to it, wash with it, wear it on your skin, layer it throughout your surroundings. You wear it for yourself, not for others. And you wear it in daily life as well as life’s significant moments.

Reach out and touch Thymes in several ways:

Mary Bearden personally reviewed these products. I did not receive any monetary compensation for my review, just a sample product. All opinions are mine and belong to me solely. My thoughts and opinions may differ from yours. The photo's used in this review were provided by me and my sometimes cranky camera but it was all me with no copied pictures.
