Andalou Naturals Review

Oh, my, let me tell you about the Andalou Naturals Face Products I got to review! When they first told me they were sending the Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask, I was like, really? Chocolate on my face? I wasn't too excited about that!

But I was real happy about the Lemon Sugar Facial Scrub because I am a firm believer in scrubs or any kind of exfoliation of your face. It is so important to get rid of the dead skin cells that stay on top of your face which prevents new cells from growing. But, first let me tell you what was sent:

1. Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask (full size jar)
2. Lemon Sugar Facial Scrub (full size jar)
3. Probotic + C Renewal Cream (1 packet)
4. Lavender Thyme Body Lotion (1 packet)
5. Kukui Cocoa Body Butter (1 packet)

I tried the Lemon Sugar Scrub first and the minute I opened that jar and all that Lemon & Sugar hit my senses it was like being on a tropical island being served margarita's! You don't have to use much either as it lathers up some with just a little bit of water added to it in the palm of your hand before you put on your face.

Lightly scrub in circular motion (never scrub hard as this will harm your face and could cause breakouts and red skin). It does not say this on the jar but I like to leave my scrubs on for just a few minutes so all that good stuff really sinks in and by the time I wash it off, my face is squeaky clean & shiny like a brand new baby's cheeks!

Doesn't that just look yummy? It is one of the better smelling scrubs I have used in a long time! It has advanced Fruit Stem Cells mixed in with Vitamin C, along with Manuka honey that lifts away impurities and then the lemon cleans & purifies and the sugar gently exfoliates the skin to increase circulation and leave your skin feeling and looking soft and healthy!

Next, I tried the Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask, which I was not looking forward to but when I opened the jar and smelled the ingredients, I thought, well, maybe this won't be so bad.

I am not going to say it smelled 100% like chocolate but it did have a scent of it in there that was enough to make me feel like I was getting away with something sinful and decandent! This mask is for Normal to Dry skin or Sensitive Skin so I think that is why they sent it to me because I had told them I had dry skin. It really and truly does look like chocolate pudding! That was my first thought when I saw it!

So, what do you think? Am I right? It looks like chocolate pudding!! The advanced Fruit Stem Cell Science renews skin at the cellular level to give you visible Age Defying results!

I slowly put my hand in the jar and took a nice healthy amount and began to spread it all over my face. It was actually very creamy, just like a pudding should be, and it did not take long to cover my whole face.
Now, don't you laugh at me! But I just had to show you my chocolate pudding face! Come to find out pure cocoa has antioxidants and amino acids that slow cellular damage and stimulates healthy cell renewal! Now, who would have ever thought that! It also gives back moisture balance and dermal structure for soft smooth skin.

I left it on for about 15 minutes to make sure I got all those great benefits and then washed it off with warm water and my face was so nice and healthy looking. My granddaughter said I looked like I was glowing. Between the Lemon Sugar Scrub and the Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask, I was a very happy camper!

I only had enough of the Lavender Thyme Body Lotion to do my feet and some of my legs but it sure did smell good and my legs were soft and silky to the touch! I used the Kukui Cocoa Body Butter the next night on my arms and I felt like I was sitting in a tub of chocolate.

My Yorkie, Charlie, kept trying to lick it off of me and I finally had to go put on my robe! So, if Charlie likes it, that is a good indicator that it passes his approval and he hasn't been wrong yet! I wished I had more of the Probotic + C Renewal Cream because after the mask I used the one packet I had and man, my face really was enjoying the pampering. I felt like I had had a day at the spa!

I gotta tell you, I wouldn't mind having one of everything that Andalou Naturals has in their store. I would love to try their toner and body wash sometime because if it is as good as the face products, the body washes must be awesome! I also saw a deep dermal wrinkle filler that sounds pretty awesome, too! Gosh, there is so much to choose from! They have face cleansers, body washes, creams, lotions, body butters, age defying, toners, scrubs, treatments along with specialty products.

One in particular I bet is good and that is the Omega Glow Facial Concentrate! I think I am going to have to beg, borrow and beg some more to review some more products along the way if I can. You really need to check them out, seriously! For a limited time all body care products are 25% off!! Sign up for their Inspired Newsletter so you can keep up with any sales or campaigns!

Now, for my quirky little thing about history or just getting to know the company that is putting something on my face to make me feel like a million bucks, I found this interesting take on how they chose the name of the company and as always I quote from their site on this part:

We carefully considered a name that would best reflect the inspired fusion of our brand, blending nature and knowledge with advanced science for skin care, hair care and body care products that are simply good for you.

The word ‘Andalou’ [] has a rich, ancient history with connotations of ‘emergence’ and as a ‘path of light’. Originally drawn from pre-Roman and ancient Arabic language,
al-Andalus, means ‘Island of Atlantis’ and is the French spelling for ‘Andalusia’.

Just as Andalusia is a geographic and cultural gateway between Europe and Africa, bridged between the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, Andalou Naturals is a gateway between the best of nature and knowledge and a bridge from farm to bottle and botany to beauty. Similar to the complex, sumptuous history of Andalusia that has been woven from a montage of cultures across time; our formulas have been cultivated from a diverse portfolio of ancient botanicals and modern technology.

We love our name, not only for its rich history, but also because it’s simply beautiful, akin to our collection of natural and organic beauty products. We hope you agree.

Now, wasn't that little tidbit interesting? I love that kinda stuff. Gets me worked up about a company when I know a little bit about their way of thinking!
