OKA b Mule Review

I am going to introduce you to a great shoe company today called OKA b! I have seen their flip flops alot all over the Internet on other blogger sites but did not have any idea that they had regular shoes also! I was pretty pumped that they wanted me to review their new Mini Mule.

I decided on the shoe called Victoria in black with it almost fall then winter and also because black just goes with everything. They come in three colors which are: Licorice, Hot Chocolate, and Cranberry; and topped off with a matching grosgrain ribbon bow. Actually they are calling what I consider black Licorice. Wanted to clear that up right away so you won't go looking for black and not find it. Their goal was to have a shoe that's 100% recyclable, waterproof, made in the USA and priced under $40. The Victoria mule is $30.00 so on that one they kept their word!

I tried them on without any socks or stockings the first day and I have flat feet so it wasn't long before I realized I could not keep my feet inside that shoe without some form of sock or tights. So, I put my black stockings on and tried them on again with much better success.

Of course, I had been up and down all day that day grocery shopping so my feet were swollen some from being on them too long and that is due to the RA.

Most of you who don't have that problem won't have to worry about your feet looking puffy like mine but even with them being a little puffy the shoe fit really well.

They come in Small (5.5 to 6.5), Medium which is what size I got (7-8), Medium Large (8.5-9.5) and lastly Large (10-11).

I was told they run pretty true to form on the sizes so you won't have to second guess when you get ready to order.

I knew the Medium Large would be too big and I am glad now that I listened and got the Medium.

They were very soft and comfortable and later when I had some time and went on their website and read a little bit about them, I knew why they were so comfortable. They have designed their shoes to feel like a spa experience with reflexology and ergonomics combined together to give you the optimum experience.

The other reason they feel so comfortable when wearing is that the massage beads pamper the foot and promote good posture. OKA b.s are also crafted using a single piece of proprietary Microplast material and are antimicrobial, waterproof and washable! Now, that is what I call a shoe after my own heart because I don't have to worry about stains making them forever dirty! And if you have small ones at home you know what I am talking about!

I got this information from their website and decided I would just quote them instead of sitting here trying to re-word all of it and messing up the meaning of what they were trying to say.

So, I copied the following to give you a some more reasons you should love this company:

Everyone knows OKA b. shoes are cute and comfortable, but they are so much more than just a pretty accessory. Here are a few things you may not have known about OKA b. products that set them apart from other comfort shoes in the market:

Reflexology-Inspired Design
The therapeutic principles of reflexology guide the design of OKA b. products. All of our shoes feature an ergonomic footbed enhanced with massage beads to pamper feet with every step.

Antimicrobial & Odor Resistant
OKA b.'s non–absorbent material resists the growth of mildew, fungus and bacteria. A great feature for spas and resorts!

Machine Washable & Colorfast
OKA b.'s non-absorbent material makes our shoes machine washable and easy to sanitize. Keep your feet clean and healthy - your OKA b.s will resist fading even through repeated washings.

One-Piece Construction
All OKA b. shoes, including thongs, feature one–piece construction for superior durability and comfort.

Endless Color Combinations
OKA b. offers a diverse color palette and style selection that allows you to create the perfect fit for your retail environment.

Environmentally Conscious
OKA b. shoes are recyclable according to International Universal Recycling Code Number 3. Customers can now send their well–loved shoes to our corporate headquarters, where they will be ground and mixed with virgin material to create new product.

Wow, that was pretty impressive and along with all of that they also have a bridal wear section of flip flops that look pretty slick to me if you are having a beachy and comfortable wedding then this is the place to shop! They do have a limited amount of men's shoes as this started out being just for women.

While I was there I noticed that Redbook, Woman's Day and Best Health had mentioned them in their magazines and I trust Redbook and Woman's Day pretty well so that convinced me that I needed to seriously check these shoes out!

I checked out their blog and found this very nice tidbit about what they are passionate about and I am going to let this be your little lesson in the history of this company that I can call one of my Georgia home based companies that I have been trying to feature on my blog.

I hope to feature more Georgia companies in the coming months:

In launching our new blog, we wanted to also share with you the ways that we try to give back!

Last October during Breast Cancer Awareness month, we donated thousands of pairs to breast cancer centers all over the nation! We knew shoes were probably a small gift on the scale of things, but surprisingly, from all the patients and survivors that we heard back from told us that in difficult times, it’s always the little things that count:)

…and Delta Airlines, a fellow Atlanta-based company helped us out by featuring us in their in-flight pub, Sky Magazine!

Here is how you can get in touch with these very nice people who are from Buford, Georgia, about a little over an hour's ride from me!
