Me!Bath Ice Cream Review

I was not sure what to expect with this product when it came because I have never used anything like this in the past. I am mostly a shower person and I don't think I have taken an actual bath since I was in my 20's. I am prone to bladder and UTI problems and my doctor finally told me I needed to stop taking baths, especially if I was using bath products added to the water and soaking in them.

I was not sure what Me!Bath was sending and it is my fault for not stating that I would prefer a body wash or lotion or for that matter anything but something I have to soak in. They sent me the one called Lavender Lullaby which I did love the smell of since that is my favorite fragrance as far as body washes, lotions and candles!

So, I enlisted the help of my granddaughter, Brandi, as she loves all that girlie smelly stuff that alot of girls & women use to pamper themselves with. She dropped the ice cream bomb into the tub and we watched fascinated as it fizzled and melted.

I must tell you we did not let the whole thing dissolve as it is a very huge bomb and we thought it should last for several soaks and if I had thought of it, we could have cut it in pieces, I guess. I am glad we did because it was just the right amount and was not to overwhelming in smell.

Lavender Lullaby is a stress reliever if you need something to help calm you down at the end of the day. We loved the smell and I know my granddaughter would have loved some of the other 40 fragrances to choose from but she was a good sport about it all! I just sat there drinking in the smell and feeling quite relaxed and then left her to take a bath. And you heard me right, there are all together 41 different Ice Cream Bombs to choose from!

The bombs have nourishing minerals and fragrant aromatic oils that will hydrate, moisturize and enrich your skin. They are made with 100% Israeli Jojoba Oil because they create the smoothest and youngest looking skin. There are actually 6 different oils that go into making each bomb along with enriched minerals, Epsom salts and wonderful fragrances and is 100% artisan crafted! This was interesting to me: it takes 3 days to make a bomb!

Along with the Ice Cream bombs, they have 9 different fragrant body washes, 9 sugar scrubs (my ultimate favorite bath experience), 9 Shea butter body lotions and an ice cream sandwich pumice stone. It is so hard to decide which ones would have really smelled the best and that is what makes it so hard to order online because you don't get to experiment with the smells.

I did find out through their store locator's that one of the day spas in Cumming, Georgia (about 25 miles from me) carries their products so next time I am ready to experiment, I will go by there and see what all there is to try! This is available on their website Me! so use it because you might find a place that sells it and you can experiment before buying especially if they don't carry all the products and you just want to know what each one smells like before you order online.

I really need to start speaking up about what I would like to review instead of leaving it up to the company. They had no idea about my bladder problem and I should not have been so timid to let them make that decision for me. So, this was a lesson I learned. I try not to tell them what I want because I don't want to come across as being hard to work with or pick something that they consider too costly and sometimes you don't know if they have a price limit so you don't want to overstep your bounds.

But, because this happened, I will state that for health issues, I need to stay away from things that need to go in a bathtub. For those of you who can enjoy a bath, this is the best thing I have come across. My granddaughter smelled all nice and fresh and she seemed more relaxed and calm when she came out (she was in there for almost 20 minutes!). I asked her what took so long and she said it felt too good to get out, even when the water turned cooler so I think that pretty much sums up the whole experience!

I know you know the drill, but I like my little history part and finding out what is behind a company is part of my fascination as to why and what made it come into being, so with that said, this is what I learned about this great company that devotes so much time into making us feel pampered.

I do quote directly from their site because to try and maneuver around their words and repeat them would be exhausting I do quote them and make sure that I give them the credit:

Headquartered in Los Angeles, ME! Bath was founded by husband and wife team Benjamin and Lisa Nissanoff in 2002. Since its debut, ME! Bath has become one of the fastest growing bath and body care companies on the market, helping consumers create a convenient, fun and luxurious spa environment in their own homes or while away on business or pleasure.

ME! Bath originated from the basic principle to do simple things exceedingly well. The idea for ME! Bath first started while Lisa was attending Stanford Business School for her MBA. According to Lisa, "I love taking baths at home but I was getting tired of the same routine every night. I envisioned a decadent bath and body line that could transform a mundane bath at home into a lavish spa-like experience." Benjamin, a MBA graduate with an advertising and finance background, decided to turn his wife's vision into a reality. Ten months later, ME! Bath was born.

After carefully researching various scents, oils and minerals, Benjamin and Lisa developed a unique proprietary formula resulting in their signature product, Bath Ice Cream. According to Benjamin, "I had worked in product development before, and I knew that I had to create something for people that would really stand out." Instead of the typical monotonous manufacturing process, each Bath Ice Cream is individually handmade with meticulous preparation and comprised of the highest quality ingredients.

Lisa and Benjamin began by selling their first product at local farmers' markets around the San Francisco Bay area. Today the entire line of ME! Bath products can be found in select apothecaries and in several high-end hotels and spas worldwide. ME! Bath has been featured in the press nationwide in numerous magazines, TV shows and online. Having made a splash in the beauty industry and redefining luxury bathing, ME! Bath is instrumental in setting the trends in high end bath and body products

Thanks so much for the site share!! I follow a lot of authors on twitter and and some follow my blog and I'm friends/follow some on facebook as well. I just asked the author if I could review their books. Sometimes if you check out author blogs they'll have an email to contact for reviews. I've been turned down by some due to the fact that I'm a little low on blog follows. I'll go follow you on twitter and DM you some email addresses that I have.
